Greetings Aleth,

Welcome to my first report as squadron commander of Aleth Squadron. As you already know, I was appointed as Aleth Commander by LC Aeishline earlier in the week. I sent out an introductory mail to the squadron, which you should all have received. In that mail, I asked for everyone to mail me, simply reporting in, and I've heard from some of the squadron so far. The rest of you, report in to me as soon as you can.

NEWS

- I have been appointed as the new Aleth Commander. I aim to make this squadron *the* best XWA squadron in the fleet, following on from the great work Keller did with the squad.

- The Sovereign League 2003 has started, and squadrons in the XWA division are to fly XWA Free 75 - Tarentum on Patrol. I want everyone in the squadron to fly this misison, and hopefully we will have a good chance at doing well in the Squadron League. Send all of your pilot files to me, and I will compile them and send them on to the organisers of the competition. Try to get as high a score as possible on the mission, so if it means reflying a few times, then try to do so. As we have a nearly full squadron, and it is only the top six scores that are counted, we should be able to do well. Files are due to get to me by the 27th March as I need a day to compile the files and send them on to the SSL organisers. Get flying straight away.

- I have started work on a new Aleth website, and it will be up either later today or tomorrow. I've obtained hosting on minos.net, and will put the site up as soon as it is ready.

- CM Brenn Tantor and LT Vissan have been flying very well since I became CMDR on Wednesday. LT Vissan has gained 30 FCHG points in three days, and CM Brenn Tantor has gained 34 points. Well done to the both of you, and keep it up.

- Remember that the squadron mailing list is aleth_squadron@yahoogroups.com and the message board is at http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=44. Please try to use both of them, so that we have better communication in the squadron.

- CPT Ace Hobbes of Daleth is on semi-leave, as is LC Aeishline due to an illness.
