Greetings everyone! All I can say is it's great to be back in the cockpit again! I actually was able to fly this week and get some activity in again. I've also been on IRC more often and have even posted a bit on the message boards. Someone pinch me! I've started up a competition so we can get some flying in as a group! But more on that in the news section. I must say though, that my activity may be a bit sporatic during these next few weeks, due to me having to go out and buy furniture and stuff. And also with my moving and all...so when the time comes, I'll let you all know what to do. |

Strahd and the other pilots reached the stranded T/Ds with plenty of time to intercept the A-wings. The A-wings weren't even within missile range yet. "Ok, Flight 2, stay behind and form a line and take out any missiles that those A-wings fire. Do not break to attack an A-wing unless it is directly endangering flight3...do not allow yourselves to be drawn out...understand?" Strahd ordered. "Understood sir" Victor Replied. "OK, flight 1, you're with me, let's take out those A-wings and if we can, give cover to the Miss Boats...They may not even need it, but I bet we can take out that Interdictor on our own." Strahd mentionned. The flight took off and were immediately greeted by the sound of their threat indicators. Each T/D had 2 A-wings targetting them. Not much of a problem to a T/D though. the rebel A-wings were severly overmatched in this encounter, and fell like flies to the wrath of the T/Ds. Next inline was that interdictor. Strahd's thoughts on interdictors was that they hadn't been built to ensure that their missions would be carried through. Most of the interdictors Scorpion had faced went down just as easily as a corvette. They lacked the shielding and hull strength to protect themselves and wen't down quickly even if you were equipped with Proton Torpedoes. Needless to say that when the Missile Boats launched...the job was almost done. It was like watching flies near a flame, With the A-wings down and no fighter support...flight 2 had joined in the attack on the cruiser. With 8 T/Ds attacking it, it went down in momments. Each flight taking a different side to spread return fire and taking out turrents on each run. It had lost all turrets in minutes...then WC tarkin came over the comm. "New orders Scorpion, disable that ship before it escapes so we can interrogate the rebel commander, I want them alive. Then head back to the Vanguard, we've alread picked up the stranded flight and recovered the T/Ds. You all will probably have a few drinks waiting for you in the pilot's lounge..." "You heard the man Scorpion, let's stop this thing" Strahd encouraged. The interdictor was adrift in momments, and with that, Strahd ordered the flights back home. It was a good day to be an imperial. A few weeks later Many things happen on a ship the size of the Vanguard...people move and promotions occur often. We were given much information from the rebel prisonners and had since went off in pursuit of the lead ship that was part of the rebel task force we had encountered. MAJ Glorick was approched by the ASF's Elite squadron and had accepted the offer. Our WC had returned to combat status and joined Scorpion's ranks. So we were under new command. None the less, Scorpion did it's duties to the fullest and accepted each new even as an opportunity to grow stronger. We would prevail against all! |

Yes, I have finally changed the message board link in our rosters to reflect the new EHnet.org one...(I do see and read those message boards) Victor Kage is on leave for the month due to RL. New competition this month. You all have till the 30th of March to fly XWA-TC 33. IS-BW and IS-BR to the top scorer and best fiction writer. Let's see some of these come in, last comp I was the only guy who flew. That's it for the news, on to activity. |
