Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.035
Report date: November 1, 2015
Good day, pilots of the might Hammer! Another week has passed. There were no roster movements this week, which is good since we lost no one, and ba since we didn't acquire new pilots either. Still, activity levels are good enough. We took a lot of medals home in the monthly TC competitions, which is always nice.
Another monthly competition running is The GoG Games: TIE Fighter. With only 2 months left this year, we only have 2 more of the original TIE Battles to fly.
Juging from my performance, I obviously did better in the earlier battles, as this month again I was defeated by VA Plif. Kudos to you, sir! Still, all looks well
for me as I am still ahead of him in the overall score. I could still win that IS-PW. I'm also gunning for 1500 kills total, and I should have no trouble breaking the 3
million points marker. VA Plif should be able to do both of those as well.
BATTLE 11 RESULTS
So what else is new? Well, we have a new TAC, and he has released his first TACcy report. In it, we learn that two new battles were released: XW-IW 13: Mereen Insurgency
2: The Saga Continues and XWA free 157: Dempsey: The End of an Era. I'm sure our Medals of Tactics are underway. Actually, I have to confess I screwed up
big time on this one: when I released XW-IW 12, Mereen Insurgency, somehow I managed to upload part 2 of the saga instead of part 1. Fortunately, I'm the only one who has flown it, so the fix
was easy. So actually Mereen inurgency 1 was released. if you still follow....
Those who have flown the XWA free 157 will know the transition between me and RA Sienar didn't go flawlessly as we were ambushed by a Rebel attack force. The TAC took swift action though
and has already discovered the leak. I always knew those INN Reporters were bad news. They keep coming up with more and more bad news for us. It seems now even
the HCI has been resurrected to deal with a claim about genocide against the Ewoks oin the Forest Moon of Endor. This is an outrage! Although I must say I am curious as to what is going on with
our new COO. Apparently there's something wrong with the cargo shipments delivered to the VSD Aggressor.
Last halloween, the folks over at Star Conflict organized a W.I.T.Ch hunt - targets marked with pumpkins, a total of 666 to destroy, to win some extra goodies. I
hope everyone had fun hunting them, I did. Especially after the update which put a lot of them in the PvE scenarios.
This week, AD Pellaeon also corrected a small error concerning my own record. Back in 2010, the then XO attempted to reboot the EH newsletter.
As TAC, I sent in a submission, and never heard from the effort again. Thinking things went kaplooey, I forgot all about it until LC Wraith this week pointed me towards a
list of newsletters on the EH website. And see - the newsletter from 2010, with my submission, was right there. As such, I am now the owner of one Letter of Achievement,
which leaves me with one single medal that I have never received: The Commendation of Service. Still - I have made a submission to VA Plif's battle plotline competition,
an hope the new TAC finds my submission worthy of one. Perhaps I can finally scratch another item off my bucket list! I also earned myself an IS-BR for my TC newsletter name suggestion. Didn't win that
one, but an IS-BR is something I hadn't seen in my inbox in a long time....
October has ended, so an email went out to all ,em>Hammer Squadron Commanders: Squadron Evaluations are due on my desk no later than next Sunday, so you have one week to do them. As said, don't
forget to recommend some pilots for a Medal of Communication, and I do believe we're going to be seeing some promotions next month.
I am planning a smallish ship competition for the last week of November/first week of December. At the end of the year, I wouldn't wanna go a whole month, time might become a problem then. I am
also thinking about another year long competition to follow up The GoG Games, but that's proving to be a lot harder than I would like :) It may not even happen.

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: A ship flying under Japanese colors was in the middle of the ocean when its captain took a nap in his bunk. When the captain wakes up, a mere 10 minutes later,
he finds his wallet missing. He immediately assembles his crew, 4 men in total, to find out who is the thief. Each of them will have to account for his whereabouts in the time to captainw as asleep.
Sailor #1 , the cook of the ship, says he was in the storage room selecting what food to cook for the day's dinner. Sailor #2, a jack-of-all-trades, says he had climbed up and down the mast to fix the flag:
some dumbass had hung it upside down. Sailor #3 is the ship's engineer, and claims he was in the engine room checking on the generators. Sailor #4 was asleep in his bunk.
Who is the thief?
