PI Squadron Report #7
26 March 2003

CMDR'S CORNER
Sorry I have to add again that this report is late. I have been extremely busy this weekend and up until today, this military stuff is really kicking my arse :P So bear with me this report will be short as I have little time atm and I still have things to do to prepare for my next lil Imperial baby, which will be here on the 25th of April ;)

Basically, we have some competitions going on and I'd like everyone where possible to participate. Especially in the Top Gun comp. We're in second place but not for long unless we can get some more entries and more activity towards it. Anyway, now that parts done, onto the semi-good stuff the squadron nitty gritty.

So I'll be dependant on you guys to help pick up the slack. Again as with the last report, it shows a bit of activity of the squad, as it picks up. But like last week at least we have something to report :) So thanks guys for the work your doing. I would also like to see Pi helping the squadron and the wing get more peeps, so go recruit!

RECRUIT! If you actively recruit members to PI Squadron and you get three of them, then I will award you an ISM for recruiting them. The only stipulation is that they must graduate the academy if they are there, then join the PI and stay for a minimum of 2 weeks while being active :P , if they are old farts (RSV returnees or others), then they must remain and be active for 2 weeks. The total amount to get an ISM, is for recruiting 3 members to PI. Once this goal gets reached then I will submit a request for you to receive an ISM. Make sure you remind me or I'll forget :P

COMPETITIONS
Wing Top Gun:
FREE-TIE #217 (attached to email version). Deadline will be March 31st (which means if you haven't flown it, then your running out of time so get busy ASAP!)
For Pi Squadron: Download and go fly it ASAP! I want to see participation please.

Squadron League 2003! (Started) Since the WC and I couldn't seem to get others in the wing motivated for this comp, then I suggest all members of Pi get busy and fly, it appears as though we are representing the Colossus as one of its top squadrons. So lets make this a reality and go fly TF 215 (attached to the mail version).

SQUADRON ACTIVITY
Not enough worth mentioning :P but I'll do it anyway:
  1. CMDR/COL Absolut Vodka:
    • Flew TIE-FREE: 217, 215 (SL 2003 not yet BSF's)
    • Working on new Squadron comps
    • Working with Major Jedgar on new website for the squad
    • Wrote squad report and posted it
  2. FM/LCM Scuslem
    • Again not yet Reported in :P
  3. FL II FL/LCM Nico Qarni:
    • Reported in
    • Flew TIE-FREE: 212, 216, 217
    • Email activity
  4. FM/LC Zystem Fryar
    • Reported in YAY and now for your convenience, they're selling ice cubes in hell!
  5. FL III FL/CM Kalve Ryder
    • Hasn't reported in yet
  6. FM/MAJ Jedgar
    • Reported for duty
    • Flew TIE-TC: 5, 6, 7
    • Lots of Email activity, Hurray!

CHAIN OF COMMAND
NOTE: Remember there is a chain of command which is in place, shown below this paragraph is the order in which it is to be used.
  1. Flight Officer
  2. BGCOM
  3. COM
  4. WC
  5. CMDR
  6. FL
  7. FM
So this by itself should give you an idea how things work in the Imperial Military. There is an orderly way of doing things and that means you must utilize the chain of command. And believe me when I say this if you don't, or chose not to, it can seriously work against you. Ship board matters needs to be dealt with using this chain. If there is a problem, it should be handled here and only here, there is no reason why anyone outside of this ship would need to help us with an internal matter, unless it's obvious that it should go beyond our immediate chain of command in order to be fixed.
PILOT FILE SUBMISSION STUFF
Don't forget when submitting a pilot file for me to BSF I would ask that you put your pilot in the below format:

3319TIETC10 (where the first number is your PIN, the second is the platform type which you flew, the last is the # of the battle flown. In the case of TIE-FREEs put TF, for the rest: DB, IW etc, you get the idea, if not email me and I'll personally explain it. This makes it easier for me to BSF, cuz in the case of those who don't add their PIN to their email, then I'll atleast have it, by labeling it this way.)

Cya next week!

CLOSING EXTRAS
All in all its been a less than average week at best. So lets all try better the rest of this week. Not much else to say, but I'm busy flying trying to make up lost time :P Oh and last but not least say hello to our newest Executive Officer (unofficial position mind you but looks good for evals), Major Jedgar. Yes fresh from the RSV and one of the most active members in the squad has been made the Squad XO. Good job! I'll get with you later for your some of your duties.Happy Hunting!

Have a good day! Cya next week!

V/R,

In the Service of the Empire
