Aleth Report # 0 (2003-04-06)

This report was submitted by CM Talon Drear

Hey Wing III,

Due to an unfortunate incident involving a hamster, a pantyhose, 10 dl of warm milk and a pair of tweezers, our current CMDR Osan'gar hasn't been able to get online for the last couple of days. I'll be acting commander in his absence and my first job (after snooping around in the CMDR's quarters :p) is to write this nifty weekly squadron report! As I've only been appointed A-CMDR 2 days ago, this weekly report is somewhat incomplete. My apologies. :)

*Squadron news*
CPT Keller has left the squad in search of greener pastures and has found it in the loving arms of Gimel Squadron! Being the craver for attention he is, he has of course taken up no less than the position of CMDR.. Congrats Keller! ;-)
I've noticed a disturbing trend when I joined up with this squadron, namely people are leaving it. :(
This squadron was full when I came aboard, so I hereby order you guys to stick around so as not to hurt my feelings. Failure to oblige will result in a Wookie Spanking. I'm serious, I have a Wookie in my closet and I'm not afraid to use it. Errr, on anyone else that is. :p

*Wing News*
Obviously the position of Gimel squadron CO has been filled up. Our WC has also ordered us to our PCs/Macs for our next big Wing op: Operation NL Bombing Run! In short, submit anything you can for the Newsletter to the XO (jpboyce@indigo.net.au). This includes fiction, graphics, disturbing footage of your parents,.. anything you can lay your hands on and deem submittable!

*TieCorps news*
Now I know I'm supposed to be reporting about all the TC happenings this week, but frankly if you're interested go to www.tiecorps.org and read it yourself. Then proceed to imagine you read it here in this Squadron Report. Much obliged. :p

Seriously though, there is one event I'd like to bring to your attention:

"Theta Squadron Invitational
20:48 - CPT Zekk Terrik [superjew@ncinternet.net]
In the spirit of the NCAA basketball tournament, I am interested in holding a 64 squadron flying tournament for all squadrons who play TIE. It will be a six round elimination tournament. You fly a free mission, and the squadron with the highest average score, provided that at least four of your pilots fly it, will advance to the next round. My squadron will participate. If any CMDR is interested in having his squadron participate, please e-mail me at superjew@ncinternet.net. Remember, this is for TIE squadrons only. In the future, if this is successful, I will be doing one for the multiplayer squadrons. Hope to have you participating! :) "

Now, if I have atleast the support of three of my fellow Aleth pilots we can sign up! It looks like signing up is possible when Osan'Gar gets back, so I'll leave that in his capable hands. I'd just like to know who'd be willing to fly for it. Correction: who'd be willing to *guarantee* participation. (all guarantees are to be filled in triplet, personally signed and sworn a blood-oath over before being submitted)

*Our activity*

And lastly our Squad activity for the past week. Unfortunately none of you replied to my e-mail concerning your activity :(. However, this was only sent two days ago, so I'm sure you would've replied with all sorts of wonderful activities you've been pursuing for the past week, if you had the time to do so. For the time being I've but down 'No email contact' if you have not responded to my email. Anyway, here goes:
