Welcome to the newest Kappa Squadron Report. You'll notice that I'm a
lil' early with it, but I won't be here over the easter weekend, so
I'm sending it already now.
I guess all of you have followed the turmoil going on on fleet level,
about the DB trying to separate from the EH. Kappa and Wing II weren't
strongly affected, at least not directly, so I guess we can go back to
everyday business.
Still, as Stele already mentioned in his wing report, I want to draw
your attention to the oath of loyalty at
http://www.ehnet.org/loyalty/st in case you want to express your
support for GA Ronin and the EH command staff. As has been said
before, signing is voluntarily.

On Kappa, this incident didn't have any big influence. It has been a
normal week, also with some good news for us; in the second week of
the SL, we got on place 7, which (I repeat myself, I know) is a good
result for us five pilots. :)
So keep up the good work in the next round.

But first, happy easter and happy egg-searching! But remember: If it's
silvery, has a red flashing light and makes strange noises, it's a
thermal detonator.

Squadron News
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

- Seventh place in the second round of the Sovereign League. Good
work, boys!

- Leave-wave over the easter-weekend...
Zyrax will be on a vacation in Switzerland for another week.
Agaron is on leave until thursday.
So will I, but only a kind of semi-leave... that means reading
and answering emails, but not much more.
I'm sorry that this will delay my work on the new Wing II page (at
http://wingii.tiecorps.net), which hasn't gone far yet. I did some
work on the database interface yesterday, but today minos was down
and I couldn't continue...
I'll get to it next week again, Stele.

Squadron Orders
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

- Fly FT 198 (attached) for the Sovereign League. Deadline is 25th of
April, that means one week left. Do your best. :)

- If you have anything lying around that has something to do with
Kappa History, be it old banners, uniforms, graphics, historical
emails (like the one from Algy with the 1000th member, and similar
stuff), old webpages,...
Whatever could be of interest, send it over... if I get enough
interesting stuff together, I could open a "Museum"-section on the
Kappa HP full of nostalgia. :P

Miscellaneous / TC News
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

- Clarification (HA Priyum Patel)
This statement from the Fleet Commander posted today on one of the
forums should help clear up a lot of questions...

"Until I receive at least acknowledgement of their acceptance of my
'terms" posted at: http://www.emperorshammer.org/news.htm (sent to
Firefox & co. 3 times along with a demand for a response), EH
members that join their group (that has unrightfully stolen EH
property) will not be welcome in the EH. If you are unsure what to
do, please sit tight and do nothing... Since you will have not
JOINED their group, you have not left the EH..."

As always, please email me if you have any specific questions.

- Grey Wolf Madness (VA Kyle Katarn)
There is a New Comp on. As requested, the Grey Wolf Madness starts
on Saturdays at 5:00 am an ends at 7:00 am! The Host is Joey C. For
Info's on the comp, please mail the Host or check the Combat
Calendar! The 1st time the Comp is gonna be held is on Saturday, the
19th April 2003!

- New battles and free missions (AD Marcin Szydlowski)
A lot of stuff has been released. MCW 1 stuff + some TIE and XWA. Enjoy.

TIE-TC #205-207
TIE-FREE #218-220
XvT-TC #65-67
XvT-CAB #2
XWA-DB #4

- TIE Corps Meeting (HA Priyum Patel)
I thought it might interest our members to know that last week's TIE
Corps meeting hit a record number of attendees, a high of 106 people...
My thanks to all those who attended. Congratulations to Captain
Zexiphir Van Taelyan who receives an Iron Star - Bronze Ribbon for
winning the trivia. A reminder that TIE Corps meetings are held
every Sunday in #tiecorps at 9PM GMT / 4PM EST. For those of you
unfamiliar with IRC, a good place to start is the IWATS mIRC Course.

- Praetorian Recruitment Competition (MAJ Turr Phennir)
Pilots of EH, let it be known to you, that Praetorian Elite Squadron
searches for brave men and women who would like to serve among the
best of ID. If you want to prove to Praetorian CMDR and to yourself
that you are worthy of becoming one of us, participate in Praetorian
Recruitment Tournament. Following the old tradition of Imperial Red
Guard, you need to prove yourself in combat. The one who will come
triumphant from the trials (highest total score in all 4 free
missions given) will be awarded FL spot in the squadron, while 6
next will be given chance to become FMs. This challenge is open to
any pilot of fleet, no matter of rank, record or position but you
must however be free from any HCI Cheating Conviction.

All participants must mail Praetorian CMDR - MAJ Turr Phennir and
Praetorian XO - COL Andrzej Mezynski, no later then by 23rd April
with email subject "Praetorian Recruitment Tournament".

- Recent Events (HA Priyum Patel)
Greetings TIE Corps.

As I'm sure most of you are aware by now, there have been some
serious events with the Dark Brotherhood over the weekend, the
details of which can be found on the main EH page. This is a
significant turn of events that will have implications for many TIE
Corps members who have friends in the DB, or are members themselves.
I understand this will be the topic of conversation pretty much
everywhere, so I ask people use common sense...please don't incite
or flame the issue unnecessarily. I also request that everyone,
whether you have a decision to make or not, carry on as normal.
Those of you in command, continue to do your jobs... make sure those
under you remain informed as always.

An EH Oath of Loyalty has been created in light of all this. Whilst
I'm not keen on the "oath" part, I think it's an excellent way to
show your support for your fellow pilots, superiors and the TIE
Corps. Whilst signing it is certainly not mandatory, I encourage you
to do so.

As always, I'll be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may
have.

- EH/RS Competitions (RA Darknyte)
I've gotten many questions lately by people who want to hold
competitions with the RS now that we've formally allied with them.
This is great and actually encouraged by not only myself, but GA
Ronin as well. I just want to lay down the proper procedures to make
sure things get done and the comps can happen. When you make initial
contact with the RS regarding a competition, you must CC the LA, TO,
and COO(If an MP comp) on your emails. We will need to be apprised
on what is going on. After you get your competition set up and
approved by all parties, send in a Competition Approval Form if you
plan to award medals, if not just have your comp and win some glory
for the EH.

I hope this will help a little bit to eliminate some of the
confusion regarding this subject, and good luck in your comps.

- Nicked by Razors (VA Kyle Katarn)
There is a new Competition where we can play. You can find the
information in the Combat Calendar and on the BSC Website. If you
got questions please mail me.
