SQUADRON NEWS

• Well that's more like it Hornet!  Finally a decent week to brag about.

• Flight wars is going on now in case you've been living in an asteroid cave and haven't heard.  Remember it's a single elimination tournament and the first round ends this Saturday so if your flight loses this week it's all over.  It looks like Flight 1 pretty much has this round in the books.  Flight 2 seems non-existent and Flight 3 is a maybe at this point.  I would love nothing more than for your entire squadron to get to the final rounds.  If any of you are unsure of what you should be doing in Flight Wars email me or Drax.

• A couple weeks ago my wife surprised me by saying to me "I want to join your squadron."  Much to my amazement she has surpassed expectations and even won Officer of the Week in her very first week in Hornet.  Very impressive!  This isn't favoritism by the way--she's whooped all of your butts this week.  She's also managed to get me flying again as well.  If you have not welcomed Pi into Hornet yet, I invite you to do so.

• I had to AWOL Spears and Kirana this week.  Too bad, but no big shock there.  Keep those recruits coming (and I am fresh out of family members).

• Remember no contact for 30 days will get you AWOLed here, though the expected activity is at least one battle, mission, MP match, fiction, MB post, etc. per week.  For Flight Leaders this much activity is required.  I understand that sometimes RL can keep you busy, but you must at least keep me posted to remain on the roster.  Jer glares in the general direction of New Jersey.  :P

XO'S THOUGHTS

• Greetings lady and gentlemen. I just want to start off my thoughts this week with a hearty YEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I actually won an MP match against Jer. It was only by one point but I still won. Second I want to welcome Pi Stryker to our little band of misfits. She is Jer's wife so we finally have someone that can keep him in line. Hopefully we will have a strong showing in this round of Flight Wars and all of us will advance in spite of our loss of two pilots this week. Just do whatever you can. Remember this is just a game but have fun with it too. Until next week...LONG LIVE HORNET!!!
