Praetorian Squadron Report #3, 11-04-2003




SQUADRON NEWS

· LC Andrzej Mezynski is the new Squadron XO. Basically the XO's duties consist of being Praetorian's Recruitment Officer, as well as being Acting CMDR if i'm away for any length of time. Iceman has been extremely helpful to me since Ive taken over, so his promotion of sorts to XO is well deserved. Congrats!

· As one of his first actions as XO, Iceman came up with the idea of the Praetorian Recruitment Tournament. As you all know, this consists of pilots signing up to fly a 4 TIE-FREE mission tourney, with the pilot gaining the highest score overall being offered the open FL position, and the next 5 top scoring pilots becoming eligible for the other open positions in the squadron. I'll keep you all updated with the latest info as the comp progresses. If you know of any pilots who you think can make the grade, encourage them to sign up!

· Still on competitions, the Sovereign Squadron League's 2nd round ends soon. If you havent already got your file for TIE-FREE 216 in, get it in quick! Also for those of you with any spare time, fly XvT-FREE 125 and/or XWA-FREE 94. The deadline for submissions closes soon, so like I said, get em in quick :P

· MAJ Shae Kitane has kicked off the Praetorian Quiz # 4! This will be in the same format as our last 3 quizzes, with a IS-BR up for grabs for the highest scorer. Answers for the 1st round are due on the 14th, email Shae if you havent already got a copy of the questions!

· Last but not least, former Praetorian CMDR, LC Linkan, has very kindly offered his services to make us a new website. A work-in-progress can be viewed at http://linkan.fateback.com , make sure you check it out and offer him your opinions :P Hopefully we will have tis website up and running very soon.
