- SQUADRON NEWS -


  • Round #7 of SSL is still on and deadline is set to Friday, the 20th June. Remember that Regular Season of SSL lasts 8 rounds then Top 8 squadrons of every division will advance to Playoffs. This means that even if we are ruling XvT regular season with a 600K points margin over the 2nd best squadron we still haven't won anything, you are to keep concentrated until we win the final. Also, due to our poor performance in XWA division for Round #6 I decided that XWA will become our top priority for Round #7 and Round #8. All of you that owns XWA are asked to try get highest score possible in XWA first, then fly XvT and as usual TIE is to be left for last. In case you don't own XWA, don't be afraid! Just stick on XvT and try to get highest score possible there.
  • This week our flying activity has been very low and I haven't received any pilot file to BSF. What worries me the most is that right now half of the squadron is totally inactive and some of you failed to report in for 3 or 4 weeks in a row. This is not good! Even if you're too busy to fly custom battles you should still find one minute to write a "hey Gidda, I'm still here" mail and send it to me to let me know you're alive. Remember: failing to report in for more than one month will make you eligible for a AWOL removal.
  • Second Round of Diamondback Trivia is currently on and I'll be accepting your answers until Tuesday, the 17th. I've mailed the 10 questions to Diamondback mailing list and I posted them on our message board too. IS-BR will be awarded to the one who submit the most correct answers and in case of a draw winner will be the one who sent me the answers first.
  • SSL staff finally awarded Drako and me with medals for past 6 rounds. Congratulations to Drako on his two IS-GWs! (I managed to get only one of those...tsk tsk :p), drinks are on him of course!! :-)
  • One last thing, it seems like MSE medals for the month of May have been awarded already but either my mail server ate the award notifications or all my recommendations were denied. Anyway, I'd like to thank LCM Zhaim Jifarr, CPT Tvan'Oris, CPT Derek Dan and CPT Drako for their good work during the past month.

  • Captivating Colloquia

     The Training Office (under the sponsorship of the Imperial University) is launching a series of IRC colloquia – individual ‘online conferences’ that serve to educate and discuss matters of importance to our role as members of the Emperor’s Hammer and the internet community. These events will take the form of a presentation from professionals followed by directed questions and open discussion. I am calling for proposals for these events to focus upon (such topics can span Star Wars canon to matters of real-life relevance; literature, popular culture, music – the possibilities are essentially endless).
