SQUADRON NEWS

• First of all I'd like to apologize for the lateness of this report.  A whole bunch of stuff came up this weekend and I had no free time for the TC.  I'm going to do this report as if I'd done it on Thursday night as usual, so that this Thursday it won't be as if I've reported on 3 days' worth of stuff.  :)

• After two months as our Squadron XO and almost six months in Hornet, Major Drake Jensen has reprised his former role as Squadron Commander of Mantis.  We wish you the best of luck in your new command, and we thank you for all of your service to Hornet Squadron.

• The position of Squadron Executive Officer is now open to pilots both inside and outside the squadron.  More information is available on the message board.

• It has come to my attention that many of you are not aware of the several competitions that are available for you to participate in.  In each report, right below the Squadron News (or XO thoughts when we have an XO), I list just about every competition that is running and open to us.  Simply click on the competition to see its description.  Let's earn some medals while we're having fun here, eh?

• I have made a few, very minor, cosmetic changes to the squadron website, as well as redid the WSR banner and sidebar.  Just because.  :)

• I expect activity to pick back up soon as school has ended for most of you students (and teacher).  In the mean time, why not take or scan a photo of yourself and send it in to Zerphirio so he can finish our squadron photo?
