Well well well! It's been a better week all-round the BG this week. New comps, new medals, new members and MORE ACTIVITY! I must say I'm much happier with the amount of activity in the squadron this week, and also my own. It's been good to receive more BSF's (yes....be scared that I actually admitted that :P) and I've been extremely pleased with the results the squadron has posted in various comps we have participated in.

 

We've finished in provisional 1st place in the Intrepid MP Ladder, and also placed quite well in Week 7 of SSL in XvT and XWA, which in turn will bump us up a bit in the overall stats. All this will prove, although small, that Krayt Squadron is a squadron to be reckoned with and with the Krayt v Asp comp starting this weekend we are presented with yet another opportunity to show our mettle! So lets get to it guys....be ready to show Asp Squadron what we're made of!!!

General News;

 

 - Krayt Squadron Website is down at the moment as minos.net is down. Should be back up this week!

 - Newsletter #93 & 94 are out- read 'em here: http://theholo.net/nls/eh/ or go to the TC news page.

 - Wing XX of the ATF had a promotion this week, with LC TK-2107 being promoted from WC to COM and Rear Admiral. Wing XX Wing Commander is now open - details are on the Tie Corps News page.

 - Speaking of movements and promotions, today LC Archon, the Grey Wolf's Wing Commander tendered his resignation as WC. Hope you hang around Archon, you've done a great job as GW WC it would be a shame to see you go totally. This also means that Wing XIII WC should be open soon - so someone will be getting a promotion soon!

 - Currently there is ten, yes TEN Squadron CMDR positions open!

 - No more Silver Stars this week unfortunately, noone has done anything interesting enuff ;D

 - The Intrepid Multiplayer ladder has now finished! Results to come, probably in Phantom's WWR.

 - The Wing FCHG race has been resumed, this will continue indefinitely, however there will be no more CR Races after the end of this month.

 - XvT WoW LX has been on all week, and finishes 2pm US-EST today. Play if you wish :)

 - XWA WoW L starts this Saturday at 2pm US-EST, straight after XvT WoW finishes. It runs until July 4th, so you've got a week to fly and earn some LoC's ;)

 - 2 new Graphics Comp's started this week - both finishing on the 4th of July. The first, is an ASF Banner comp set by AD Darksaber. Submit a new ASF banner to him before the 4th to be in the running for an IS-GR(1st), IS-SR(2nd) or IS-BR(3rd). HA Priyum Patel also started his own comp this week - for new banners for both his Flight Office page and for a new FO Link Banner. IS's for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in both the site and link banners. More details on the TC News page. Looks like it's time to get graphiking to win some medals! ;)

 - RECRUIT.....RECRUIT.....RECRUIT!!!! ;)

 - The Squad's site is still down. Minos will be back up soon and I can update the page once again! *prays*

 - And now for the news you've all feverishly been waiting for - thats right! 'Krayt v Asp - The New Breed' will be starting this weekend. The Comp details have been submitted to the TO, and we're aiming for a start time of Midnight Saturday the 28th of June(US-EST). Thats midday Sunday for us aussie folk. The comps 'page' and details are at: http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=675 so have a read so you know how it's going to be played. Once we are given the official word by the TO we will begin and I will send out a more detailed rules/setup email!

 - In more comp news, the Intrepid's MP Ladder has finished as of midnight(US-EST) last night. At this time the winner is clear.....Krayt Squadron are the victors! According to the comp's site we finished 1st place on 31pts, with myself finishing first in individual scores on 16pts. The Flags came in 2nd with 19pts and WC Phantom finished 2nd on 14pts! This is not set in stone yet, but I dont think it will change much, so we should be receiving our Wing Commander's Award soon, and Phantom and I should soon be receiving our IS-BW and IS-SW respectively! On this note, I'd also like to congratulate the other members of the squadron - who helped us lay waste to the rest of the wing....namely LT Obiwan and our ex-CMDR RA Frodo. Armed with this we can now continue on and kick some Asp a$$ in the Krayt v Asp Comp.

 - And finally the 'short stats' for SSL Week 7 were released this week(and sent out by email) and Krayt has had a great showing. Yours truely finished 9th overall in both XvT and XWA sections, SavageAz also placing about 11/12th in XvT. This gave us great finishes in both sections, finishing 8th ranked Squadron in both XvT and XWA. We also managed 18th(of 23) in TIE thanks to SavageAz! This should translate to us being ranked in(or close to) the top 15 Squads in both XvT and XWA, and also have some high ranked pilots too! It also means we wont be dead last in TIE either! YAY!

 

Reminder: Week 8, the final 'regular season' round of SSL finishes this Friday the 4th of July, so please have your files in to me by the 3rd so I can ensure they reach the Co-ordinators on time.

 - The Krayt Squadron Olympics will still go ahead in the not to distant future. Keep one eye open for announcements.
