Squadron News

- We made second place (after Omega) in SL round 7. Good work,
everybody.
We're now in the 8th and last round of the playoff phase, mission
assignment in the orders section.

- TIB competition is over before it began. This wing has officially 34
pilots. I wanted at least 16 to participate. And I got 7 (and yes,
that already includes me and Stele). That will teach me to put time
and effort into making up new competition ideas again. :/
Thanks to Carl, Dweez, Mick, Josephy, Stele and Jack for flying the
playoff mission and not letting me feel completely ignored.

- After a long downtime, Minos is now back, and as Jack informed us
earlier today, even the DNS might work again SOON (TM).
Bad timing, as I'm going to go on semi leave over the weekend, so
there'll be some more delay in updating the Kappa page... I'll get
to it next week, though.

- Wing XX (HA Priyum Patel)
The position of Wing XX WC is now open to applications with the
following requirements:

- Must have held the position of Squadron Commander for no less than
four months and hold the rank of Captain or higher
- Passed either SM/II or SM/III and be intimately familiar with all
EH and TC regulations.
- No HCI convictions within the past 18 months.
- Be familiar with all three primary game platforms (TIE, XvT &
XWA), single and multiplayer.
- Must be a member of good standing in the Dark Brotherhood (command
position not necessary).
- Be able to deal with members at all levels, from the Flight
Officer to Flight Members.
- Be able to constantly monitor and motivate all members of the Wing.
- Have plans for the long term activity of the Wing.

Applications must be received by Sunday 13th July and should be sent
to Rear Admiral TK-2107 and Vice Admiral Khaen. The application
should have the subject "Wing XX WC". Good luck if you choose to
apply.

- Email Woes (HA Priyum Patel)
It seems several people, myself included, are still having a variety
of problems with ehnet.org email accounts, whether it be sending
emails or receiving. Please double check that your emails are
getting through to recipients. The IO is aware of the problems and
is working to resolve them soon.

- Subjugator COM Selected (HA Priyum Patel)
Following a successful stint as Wing XX Wing Commander, Lieutenant
Colonel TK-2107 has been selected as the new ISD Subjugator
Commodore and promoted to Rear Admiral. Congratulations!

This means that the WC position is now vacant. Applications will be
accepted, but please wait for the requirements to be posted later
today before sending anything.

- Flight Office Banner Competition (HA Priyum Patel)
Greetings folks. The Flight Office is in need of TWO new banners,
one general banner for the front page and a second to replace the
ageing link banner (aww). The main banner can be of any size (within
reason) and the link banner should be ideally 400x50 pixels. Format
must be gif, jpeg, psp or bmp and should be sent zipped to
spellfire@btinternet.com by Sunday 6th July at the latest.

The creator of the winning entry of each banner type will receive an
Iron Star w/ Gold Ribbon. An IS-SR will go to second, and an IS-BR
will go to 3rd and 4th places.

- Imperial Sovereign Protector Appointed (HA Priyum Patel)
Congratulations to Rear Admiral Mell Kerrigan who has been selected
as the new ISP and reinstated to his previous CS rank of Admiral!

This of course leaves the position of Subjugator Commodore vacant.
Please do NOT apply until asked to.

- COMM Stuff (Fleet Admiral Aiden Cantor Karias)
I had a problem with my notebook's CPU malfunctioning last week, so
if any of you have sent me an email that you were expecting some
sort of response to (ie. forum modification), and you haven't gotten
a response yet, please re-email me.

Also, I am looking for people who go to weekly sub-group meetings on
a regular basis to collect logs from those meetings for me. If
you're interested, please email me at io@absolutek.ca.
