Hey Squadron Report for May 4th through 11th, 2003.

Hey Hey! A little past time for this week's report, but I was shanghaied Friday night by a cute Rebel and had to spend Saturday recovering from the alcohol and some computer problems. It was a kinda quiet week again, but let's do it!

SQUADRON NEWS

CM Maw'la was awarded an IS-BW for winning Top Ace in April. Can someone de-throne our Ace? :)

On a related note, the battle to fly for this month is XWA-TC #34. Get your pilot files to me by 11:59:59 GMT May 31st. Heh, the five year anniversary of my high school graduation... I might have to celebrate, so the results will be issued on the first or second of June...

I've been extremely busy with my Systems class and modifying a resume and writing up a cover letter, so no new website updates. As a self induced punishment, I can only drink water at the Cantina for two days. :(

Training Officer's Leave

Zone Rooms Moved

As you may have heard, the people at the Zone had plans to shut down the XvT and XWA rooms. However, a petition was drafted, and the Zone people have decided instead to merely move the rooms.

To find the new rooms, go to "All Games" at http://www.zone.com, and go under "ZoneLAN - DirectPlay". You'll find the rooms as "XWing Alliance" and "XvT Rebel Base II".

MISCELLANEOUS

I sent off my resume and cover letter Friday afternoon. Spent most of the afternoon moving crap around on the resume. That was fun. Learn from my mistakes: Don't use the Office templates to create those blasted things. They make it fast, sure enough, but moving stuff around and modifying some of the text attributes is outright painful.

I was on local TV Thursday night. Not in police custody either! :P One of the local stations was doing a bit on the Center for Students with Disabilities at the technical college I attend. I do hang out there and torment and get tormented by the instructors there. Heh, all of 'em. The camera caught my good side too. I was working on my resume, with my back to the camera. Don't wanna scare the li'l kiddies.

On Friday night, a couple of girls I know mentioned seeing me on TV the other night. One of 'em was the cute Rebel I mentioned earlier. I was blunk and drind (as I stated to someone at that party) at her apartment that night and slept (not passed out) on her living room floor. 'Cept for getting sick (drank one or two beers more than I should have), that was a great night. I love college!!

Well, I guess that covers it for this week.
