CM D.T. Hammer walks into his office onboard the SSD Avenger. He sits down behind his desk with a big grin on his face, due to he just found out he made Captain! Thank you to everyone who made it happens.


Squadron News/Wing XVIII News:

· The Flight Leader position for 2-1 is open for applications. You have until midnight tonight to summit them to me at the following e-mail address aburt@tampabay.rr.com
· There are 3 new comps for Hunter. I have e-mailed them all to you. If you have questions about them please e-mail me.
· Everyone should participate in the BGCOM’s Comps. Lots of medals to be won. Go to this website to sign up. I want everyone to participate! http://bj.tiecorps.net/
· My XvT Free Mission is still under testing.
· If you guys have any news you want posted please e-mail it to me by Thursday of each week so I can get it into my report.
· The Flight Officer has some new Comps out. You should participate lots of medals to be earned from him looks great to get one!
· There is a XWA Tutorial out now that is a step-by-step instruction on how to make XWA missions and Battle. Try it out earn some medals. It might be fun!


Promotions/Medals: LT Swerg earned a Bronze Star of the Empire for his hard work; LT Tecluse earned a PC for all his work, LCM Andrijas earned an ISM for his work, LT Ayalia was awarded an ISM. D.T. Hammer was Promoted to Captain and received and IS-BW for the most active CMDR in Wing XVIII

Something a bit off topic...I came across a brief review of a site depicting ships and their relative sizes in a UK magazine (Focus, 4/5). The site's pretty good with some interactivity - you can move the ships around and overlay them with each other. It's located at http://mirror.wolffelaar.nl/zardalu.sytes.net/ and contains Star Wars ships as well as those from other universes (Bablyon 5, Star Trek etc).

Following MAJ Devin's removal as Wing Commander of Wing V (anyone heard from him?), Admiral Proton has selected a replacement WC. Congratulations to Colonel Gen Es'mith! Gen is a hugely experienced Officer and should do a fine job in leading Wing.

Lieutenant Colonel Turr Phennir has stepped down as Praetorian Commander and taken up a Flight Member's position in the Squadron. Myself and SDIR/VA Mordann would like to thank Turr for all the work he's put into the Squadron over the past several months. We've also agreed on the new CMDR, congratulations go out to Colonel Andrzej Mezynski!
