Welcome to the newest Kappa Squadron report. It has been a very quiet
week. That includes my own activity, for I both had some RL
interferences, plus the warm weather we have here atm kinda slowed
down all my movements. :P
And the somewhat cooler nights I had to use for doing other stuff
(*coughDiablocough*). :P
It's true, since Timmay told me he just recently got Diablo (the first
part) and was looking for opponents, I dug that game out again, and
the old item-getting and character-levelling fever is right back. :P
Anyone who wants to join us (where "us" is Stele, Jon, Timmay and me
so far), is invited to do so. :)

But well, back to the important stuff. I didn't have any SL
submissions yet, so I ask for your TFRs. The deadline is today at
midnight, and with the tips I finally managed to send out should help
you with beating it... still, don't try to fly this one in the last
five minutes, please!


Squadron News

- All Kappans were awarded with the Iron Star - Gold Wings, for our
victory in the Theta Squadron Invitational. Again (can't say it
often enough), that was good work, boys. :)
Thanks for this medal shower go to Zekk who ran the comp.

- Also, Stele gave me a Palpatine Crescent for my work on the Wing II
Homepage. Thanks boss. :)

- Sixth round of the SL ends today, go flying! More in the orders
section.

- Tempest's Imperial Battlechess starting SOON (TM).
That is, as soon as Stele (whom I already want to thank for the
effort he's putting into this) succeeds to get it past the TO. :P

- Avenger COM Retires (HA Priyum Patel)
This morning Rear Admiral Charles "Demos" Spencer submitted his
resignation as Commodore of the SSD Avenger due to RL Military
commitments. On behalf of the TIE Corps, I wish him a safe and
speedy return to us.

Myself and VA Khaen will be taking applications for a new COM, but
until I post the requirements, do not submit one.

- Talarian News (VA Kyle Katarn)
This mail was sent out from the Talarian Gaming Staff:

With the success of the initial functionality test of the early
versions of Telarian Gaming, work on newer versions of the client
have already been put into progress.

In anticipation of new releases, Telarian Gaming is putting out the
call for pilots to assist in testing newer versions of the Telarian
Gaming client and the system it utilizes. With work continuing at a
steady pace, testers will be needed in the very near future. The
goal of these tests is accessability to Telarian Gaming. We
encourage every pilot interested to sign up, as we need to make sure
everyone can enjoy Telarian Gaming regardless of their setup.

For Telarian Gaming to be successful, we need serious pilots that
can follow directions given to them by the testing staff.

As applications are received, you will be notified by the Testing
Coordinator of dates and times we will need you to be available.

- Zone and Week of War update (VA Kyle Katarn)
Great work ppls!

The EH is now a very active BSC Club. When I took over the COO Job
we didn't won anything in WoW, but as you can see now here, we are
getting better. Here are the most important win's for the EH.

XWA:
Week of War, April 2003, 2nd place
Week of War, February 2003, 2nd place

XvT:
Week of War, February 2003, 3rd place

Great work! Keep it up. You make me proud. Maybe in the near future
it is possible that we reach the 1st place. This is a big goal from
me personally.

Also you noticed that XvT Week of War moved away from the Zone. COOA
Dax Corrin is currently writing an update for all you MPer's. I will
keep you informed. Updates from the Combat Calendar and the EHCOC
Website will be made tomorrow.

- BitchX Professor Open for Applications (AD Keldorn)
The Training Office is current looking for a new BitchX (a
text-based IRC client) Professor to join the Imperial Weapons and
Tactics School. The requirements are:

- An active member of the Emperor’s Hammer holding the rank of
Lieutenant (or equivalent) or above.
- Extensive knowledge of the open-source IRC client, BitchX
(http://www.bitchx.org/).
- Be able to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
- Keeping Graduate Counts (total and per month).
- Maintaining/updating the Course Notes (basic HTML knowledge
necessary; or a good WYSIWYG editor).

Applications should be sent to me (to@emperorshammer.org) with the
subject “BitchX PROF Application”.
