Parallax War is about to start

Parallax War is starting today at 2:00 pm EST. Cause the EH is way bigger then TRA or FES, EH vs. EH matches are allowd! Please join #parallax in undernet. Standard WoW Rules apply, the scores are reported to DarkFyre. The war is held till 31st July!
Overall winner will get a DFC!

IRC Quote of the Week (QotW)

Starting this week, I will begin selecting an IRC Quote of the Week for inclusion in the COMM report, and to be displayed on the upcoming new COMM site.
What can the QotW be you might ask? It can be pretty much anything amusing or taken out of context said on IRC in an EH channel.
Nominations for QotW can be sent to me at io@absolutek.ca. The person who submits the QotW will have there name prominently displayed beside the winning entry, and possibly at a later date, win a medal (I will have to talk to the TO first though). Any EH member from any subgroup may submita QotW nomination.
Parallax War

Parallax War will start on the 15th of July. It wíll include the TRA and the FES on the beginning. More clubs join soon. It will be held daily in #Parallax on Undernet and same Bot System as in the daily comps are used. NOTE: As long as the Parallax War are underway ALL daily comps are cancled. They will start on 1st August again!

-- From FO/HA Priyum: August sees another round of Fleet Commander's Birthday awards. The rules governing Commendations of Loyalty for TIE Corps members remains the same:
Each squadron commander can send any number of recommendations for awards to
their respective Wing Commander. The Wing Commander chooses three (3)
awards. Then these recommendations are forwarded up the chain of command to
the respective Commodores and Battlegroup
Commanders, making any possible corrections. Then the Battlegroup Commander
collects the recommendations for his Battlegroup, and emails them to the
Operations Officer, CC'ing the Flight Officer. Also, each Battlegroup
Commander has the discretion to award a maximum of three (3) awards to his
Flag Officers.
For elite squadrons (Avenger, Praetorian, Tau, and Omega), the commander can
recommend up to one (1) award to their Battlegroup Commander (Omega -
SovCOM; Avenger - ASF BGCOM), in the case of Praetorian and Tau Squadron,
the CMDR will directly email the Operations Officer, also CC'ing the Flight
Officer.
Do not forget to CC the relevant people are your recommendations will be denied!

Over the past few weeks I've received a shocking number of complaints from CTs on Daedalus in regards to being spammed by members of the TIE Corps with offers to join their Squadron. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED!
You are permitted to email CTs offering only your help. You cannot sell your Ship or Squadron to them! Considering the nature of the complaints and the volume, myself and SO/AD Zoltar have taken steps to curb this. Several decoy CTs have been placed in all THREE companies to catch those who break this rule. These people will then be punished in accordance to our laws.
Illegally recruiting CTs can do more harm than good. Many CTs are driven away by the constant spam and it's grossly unfair to those Ships and Squadrons that do not stoop to such practices. It will no longer be tolerated.
-- The Sovereign Squadron League playoffs are into the first round. Pilots, fly TIE-TC# 169 "The Rooster Trap", XvT-TC# 75 "Distress Call", and XWA-DB #4 "The Shadow Academy: Dark Fury". Deadline is *today* July 15!
-- Reminding, in conjunction with the SSL, I have commissioned a graphics competition for the creation of award emblems (or certificates, medallions, patches, posters, or whatever else captures the artist's fancy). It is known as the Sovereign Squadron League Graphics Grab. See the Sov MB for more details.
-- GN Stele Pellaeon's General's Summer Patrol comp is into its fourth week. Twenty-nine of the 40 pilots who signed up remain alive.
