NEWS
Oooook, kiddies. We got a grand total of one battle flown this week, not counting me, of course. Other than that, we were nice and boring. This will need to change, and quickly- Top Dog is upon us. For those of you that haven’t gone through one before, you are in for a month of death and destruction and adrenaline and medals. Unless of course you continue to idle and do nothing, in which case only the death and destruction applies, and that’ll be from me to you. I personally plan on flying like nobody’s biznatch, and I hope the rest of you can find it in your hearts to remember that you’re actually in the TC and should fly a bit…
But not to be blinded by the magnificence of the upcoming competition! For we still have a competition happening in our very own squadron! FLY XWA CAB 4!!!!! It’s basically a free medal so far… and flying is why we’re here. So do it. NOW.
In other news, I’m really sleep-deprived because of construction people starting on our driveway at 8 every morning and then me going to sleep at 2 AM. I’ve also been not flying so much recently (ha) cause I’m trying to finish creating a battle for Darksaber and saving up my flying instinct for Top Dog. Despite this, this past week saw my FCHG pass 900 and my CR pass 250, so buy me beer.
And lastly, the Vanguard welcomes three new pilots this week, so yaaaay!

XO’s CORNER!
Yay, a new little section from our very own XO, Sayo. Here’s the first installment…
Heya all, it's a report from your friendly XO, CM Sayo Hirosho. This is my first report for our squad as XO, and being that, I would like to buy you all drinks :P. Seriously though, this week I learned just how easy it is to recruit. I myself have been talking to people on the Zone and such to try to recruit for our squadron, just by hanging out and letting our name be known. These months are (supposed) to be the most active months of our pilots for the club, not being in school and work as much, so it's prime time to get out and get people. Post on an MB, go into a chat room, just be active. It's activity that is the blood line of our squadron. Go out and write a fiction, do a graphic, or fly a mission. Aside of that, the XVT WoW has started, and this is a great thing to be involved with if you have XvT. It's a competition with many people invloved, and it's a rather large event. A good chance to meet people, and hey, if your lucky, a good recruitment center. Well, that's all in my words for the week,

ORDERS
1: Deal with Real. (Yay corniness!) Real life is where it's at, and nothing in the TC can supersede it, so remember that this is all fun… not an obligation.
2: Fly! It’s summer… If you’re off of school, you either have no time, or a lot of time! Please find some time, whatever you’re doing, to just fly a battle here and there, or hang around in #ehcoc and try to get a game or something.
3: Do other stuff! The banner is taken care of and the website probably is as well, but there are all kinds of things you can do… especially if you’re eligible for some sort of promotion (Blastfire, Specter, Steel in a while or so)… IWATS, fiction, graphics, all kinds of competitions… the FO has his INPR comp still running. And showing up on IRC or just mailing me for whatever reason can’t hurt at all. Also, the VAN’s numbers are slipping alarmingly… recruit! Surely you know a couple of people who would be interested…
