Tempest Squadron Report

Squadron Orders

- The WC has announced the beginning of the Wing X vs Wing XX comp! This is a great oppertunity to show everyone that we are still quite the force to be recknoned with across the TC! Here are the details:

Part I - Fly TIE FREE #219, XvT FREE #97, XWA FREE #102 for the SP portion! So far I have one entry for this, and while we do have a month left, it may not be a bad idea to get it out of the way! I myself am guilty of having not flown it yet, so I know personally that'll be on my to-do list this week :) Props to Prost Varsis who already's flown :)

Part II - Multiplayer flying in groups of 1v1 will be conducted in channel #asf.

Part III - Create a fiction dealing with a night of drunken behaviour where some of us Wing X pilots run into pilots from Wing XX.

Part IV - A graphics competition in which a Wing X Cantina banner must be made, keeping in the spiritness of drunkness and such ;) *Mad* props to Chris who made an awesome banner for this. So good, I've attached it to this email for you all to see :)

All of these can be submitted at any time throughout the month of July! All I ask is that everyone at least do TIE-FREE #219, everything else is up to you, though I hope you guys get into some of the other events as well, cause this should be fun :)

-Please contact the WC at jan.thriene@web.de so that he knows you're not dead. Tis a nice thing I know none of you will have a problem doing ;) Just try to take care of it ASAP alright?

-COL Master has started a run-on, so see if you can get in and try to continue on to the crazy story that's begun over here at the message board! Just so you guys know I've gotten a lot good comments about how this run-on is going, so thanks to Master, McCollum, and Prost Varsis for helping this come along :)

-COL Master has also started a Wing X Morale comp, where you must submit a document that basically glorifies another officer of this ship. Entrees are due tommorrow so I suggest if you're gonna plug someone to get to it ASAP! Though I must admit, so far all the entrees that have been submitted have come from Tempest Squadron, so excellent work to you guys for continuing the Tempest policy of excellence :)

-The 2nd Anunual Tempest Campaign of Domination will be beginning sometime in August! If you have any squadrons you would like to challenge, please email me and tell me! If you guys remember correctly, the last time we did this 2 years ago we challenged squadrons across the TC, and only lost to one(Which was Praetorian, at a time when the best pilots in the TC had been assembled into one full 12-member squadron, with their top ace pilot COM participating as well to boot. And even then we only lost by a couple 1000 ;)) This time I want to do even better, and I know as long as I have you guys giving 100% participation, we'll be incredible no matter if we win or lose :)

-Recruit! While 6 is a good number, it is only half of what we could be :) If you have friends or such who like Star Wars, get em in here! If you meet some guy in the Zone who seems cool, get him in here! More pilots the better!.

Squadron News

-Just a reminder, but I do change my orders section often and have a bad habit of sticking news items related to Orders into the Orders section. So.... don't just pass over it, give it a read ;)

-Second, congrats to *all* of you, as you'll find that every single on of you have a new shiny medal awarded to you! Personally it was of my feeling, as well as the flag officers of this ship, that as a whole we were an absolutely phenomenal squadron in the month of June, and while not everyone was super active, everyone did put out a great effort, and that definetly deserved an award! So, congrats to all of you for continuing to be excellent pilots and making my job quite enjoyable :)

-As an extra little thing, you'll soon find that I did, as rumours suggest, write a plug for each member of the squadron. I'll wait until Master releases all of them to show them, but I do want you guys to know that writing plugs for any of you was quite the easy task, because there were plenty good things to say about each and every one of you :) Some are a tad bit longer than others, but that's mainly because I do have more history with some of you than others, and thus could go off on speels about how we met and such. You all are equal in my eyes, equally phenomenal actually ;) Sorry if I seem a bit cheerful this week, but you all were rather active and I find myself becoming more and more proud of you guys each day. I just thought this week I'd tell you how amazing of a squad you all are, and that if we keep this up no one will be able to argue that Tempest Squadron is, hands down, the best squadron in the fleet :)

-As a final note on Squadron webpage changes, I did in fact move the Tempest Squadron site over to the ISD Challenge domain. Previously I had been running the site off of my computer, and this was becoming increasingly difficult to do when I switched over to my new laptop. Also, it'd be impossible this upcoming semester when I'll be back at uni, so best to take care of it now. But anyways, without further ado, the Tempest Squadron webpage can be found now and forever more at http://tempestsquadron.isdchallenge.net

-Thanks to everyone who participated in some of the ciations listed last week! We're now up to 86 citations, getting closer and closer to 100, something that we've never accomplished before! Here's this week's list, and while these aren't mandatory, if you are in the mood to fly something or are quite bored, give one of these a shot and help out the squad a bit eh? :)
