VANGUARD TOP DOG COMPETITION
AUGUST 1, 2003- AUGUST 31,2003
RULES AND REGULATIONS
It is once again time for the Vanguard's annual competition called TOP DOG. It will begin on August 1 and run through August 31, 2003 so determine our most elite Vanguard Squadron who will carry the title of Vanguards Protector for this year. This competition is to determine the Vanguards top squadron and top overall pilot in addition to a pot load of medals to be awarded for the top performers. Listed below are the divisions for TOPDOG and the rules for each category. Each division will have two overall winners who will win medals. The title of Vanguard Top Dog will be determined by the squadron and individual pilot who accumulate the most points at the end of the comp. I will attempt to keep the scores updated daily on the MB but understand the high amount of emails we will be filtering through and be patient. We expect the competition to be fierce but at all times we ask that any problems that occur be kept private and be brought to the WC and COM so that it may be worked out peacefully. Cheating as always will not be tolerated and will be subject to a full investigation by the Security Office. This should give all personell a week to prepare for war. Single-Player Division(IS-SW, IS-BW)
1 point will be awarded for each mission flown. Example: If a pilot flys a 5 mission battle, the pilot would earn 5 points. For each mission high score earned, a pilot will be awarded 10 points per mission high score.
Multi-Player Division(IS-SW, IS-BW)
The rules for this division will be similar to the regular monthly awards. A match will earn a pilot 3 points per loss or 5 points per win and 10 points per DFC earned. Many of the MP rules and EH comps have been changed over the past few weeks and these are especially subject to change. Any TC sanctioned event may be flown including regular events in the #ehcoc, Zone events, or the BSC WoW's or other events.
IWATS(IS-SR, IS-BR)
For each IWATS course taken and passed, a pilot will be awarded 15 points per course.
Graphics(IS-SR, IS-BR)
Each graphic(EH related) can earn a pilot from 1-20 points per graphic. There will be a maximum of 50 points that may be earned for this division per pilot. The medals will be awarded to the best two entries.
Fiction(IS-SR, IS-BR)
Each fiction(EH Relate) can earn a pilot from 1-20 points per article. There will be a maximum of 50 points that may be earned for this division per pilot. The medals will be awarded to the best two entries.
Web Design(IS-SR, IS-BR)
Any new TC related web site or page can be submitted. Each site may be worth 1-25 points each and have a limit of 50 total points per pilot that may be earned. The best two submissions wins the medals.
Mission Creation(IS-SR, IS-BR)
Any custom made mission will be worth 15 points per mission created.
Recruitment(IS-SR, IS-BR)
A pilot will be awarded 20 points per recruit. A recruit can be anyone form the Daedalus or a current reserve or inactive pilot that returns to active duty. The Recruiter will send myself an email once the pilot is placed in the wing to inform me who recruited the new pilot.
Trivia(IS-SR, IS-BR)
I will be emailing questions to the wing once each week on Monday mornings. Each pilot will send their answers only to me by the following Sunday with the title "Trivia Answers Week 1". Each question answered correctly will earn a pilot 1 point and 5 points for just answering the questions.
Overall Pilot(IS-SW, IS-BW)
The top pilot who has the most total points at the end of the comp will receive an IS-SW and the title of the Vanguards TOP DOG. There will be more rewards for this pilot to be disclosed later.

All Sub-Lieutenants should Read this section Carefully:
Getting promoted to full Lieutenant is one of the easyest things to do in your Tie Corps career and it can be done fast. Here is what you can do to get promoted:
-go to http://www.emperorshammer.net/battles/battletypes.asp and download a battle, follow the instructions included with that battle, fly it and send me the pilot file, I will BSF(Battle Submission Form) the file and you will get credit for it. But since we presently do not have the permission to log into the datebase, I canot BSF your pilot files (tfr files for Tie, plt files for XvT and XWA) so you wont get promoted fast this way.
-An other way is to do an IWATS (Imperial Weapons And Tactics School) Course, just go to http://www.emperorshammer.net/iwats.asp and select the cours you want to do. This is probably the best way to get your promotion.
-Another good way is to go online and participat in a Multiplayer Competition, the schedule is located on the lower right hand side of http://www.emperorshammer.net/news.asp This might be the hardest one of them all, because MP is HARD. But it is the one I like the best.
Just remember, do which ever you want, but do it as soon as you can, so that you can become an LT.
