Wing XIX
LC Thom Zack has retired from his position as Wing XIX WC on the SSD Avenger. Myself and the staff of the ATF would like to thank Zack for all of his hard work and commitment to his command over the past several months.

Applications for a new Wing Commander are being accepted and I have here the requirements:

  • At least 4 months experience as a Squadron Commander in the TIE Corps
  • No HCI convictions within the last 12 months
  • Passed either SM/II or SM/III and be intimately familiar with all EH and TC regulations including the Fleet Standing Orders
  • Be able to handle large amounts of email and admin within a short amount of time in an efficient manner
  • Be able to organise competitions / activity within the Wing and motivate those under your command
  • Must be a member of good standing in the Dark Brotherhood (command position not necessary).
  • Be able to work in a mature attitude with all levels of command in the TIE Corps
  • Be familiar with all three primary game platforms (TIE, XvT & XWA), single and multiplayer.
  • Demonstrate that you have the drive and motivation to take command of a Wing and ensure it's growth and success

You may include up to 2 references from current or former superiors (get their permission first!). Applications should be sent to Vice Admiral Khaen and Rear Admiral Davi Anthol with the subject "Wing XIX WC" by Friday 8th August.

 
Squadron News:
 
A pretty good week for activity from Vampire. And the biggest news is that we had two promotions this week! Congratulations to Captain Kane Reese, and Lieutenant Commander Orrimaarko Reeft! Way to go, guys! Kane bought the kegs for this party. On a sad note, most of you are already aware that Vampire lost its competition against Tau Squadron...but not by much. We gave them a run for their money...and after all...XvT IS their platform. Good work to those who participated. Citations...well, last week, we were up to 76...as of today, we're at 80...so we gained four this week! Good work to Kane and Mosh, who did some flyin. The last Round of the Sov Squad League Begins today! This is it! Last Call...the big kahoona, the final Phase! Details in the Status/Orders section. Oh yeah...one more thing. The copy of Star Wars Galaxies that my wife bought me arrived yesterday. I loaded it up, registered and stuff...and tried it out for an hour or so...it was a lot of fun :)
 
Other News:
 
In the news this week, several crew members of the Immortal reported that it was "raining" on deck 7. Maintenance looked into the fire prevention systems for any malfunctions...and found none. In other news, Mosh did a demonstration this week, showing how his gundark could climb into the ventilation shafts of the Immortal. Good thing the Commodore is away...or he'd put those two incidents together ;)
 
Squadron Status/Orders:
 
Sov Squad League - Finals!  The assigned battle is XWA-FCHG 3 "Ronin's Deception", and the due date is Friday, August 22nd. Hints and tips will be out in a few short days...we NEED six submissions for this, flown on the highest difficulty you can manage. Good luck, Vampires!
 
The Wing Commander of Wing XI has an open challenge to all of the Immortal. Any pilot who accepts will choose a free mission for any platform (except XW), or challenge the WC to an MP match on any platform. If the pilot beats the WC, he/she gets an IS-BW. 
 
I challenged Bubba in the Wing Comp, to XWAF-104...but i don't know if i beat him or not :/  I highly encourage the mighty pilots of Vampire to pound on our new WC with as much vigor as you can muster...I'd like to see a few of you at least challenge him to ONE free mission on the platform of your choice.
