TARTARUS SQUADRON
WING XIII of ISD GREY WOLF
WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT
NR.10
by CMDR/CM DarkC

Well guys.,your old DarkC is back....i'm not so sure how many of you are really happy about this....lol.Hey stop those aplausse back there, you
won't hear what i have to say...lol
Before i get going with this report, there are some things i wanna tell you.
First of all i wanna thank our dear COL Woobee for the great work he did as acting commander....lol...it was almost like he has done this
before...hehe...Now,seriously...great job Woob...it made me think why in God's name you gave this position away in the first place:)
Hmmm...which brings me to the second issue i wanna talk about.
As you are all aware there has been a lot of talking about the CMDR position this week. I must apologies about this,it was all my fault and i'm
sorry. We shouldn't have made it that public and make it sound like we have problems.I made a promisse which i felt like i'm breaking and i
wanted to sort that out. As Tom said i'm a very sensitive person and i really don't like hurting anyone's feelings. But for the moment i think things
have been sorted out and i really think that we should concentrate on the competition:)
In the mean time i want to asure all my superiors that Tartarus has absolutely no problem. We are a real family, and real good friends and this is
how it's going to be. Noone inside this squadron is concerned about medals or positions,we're all concerned for the well being of Tartarus and
each one of us is trying to help as much as he can from the position he's on.
It was just that i care about my friends very much and as far as i know friendship is based on loyalty and keeping promisses. Well, i had the
feeling i am breaking one of these, that was all. But everything is just perfect here in the headquarters:)
Well, i think it's enough of this! Let's go on with the report:)

RECRUITMENT

As even our dear WC said we're doing great even with 8 pilots and we are able to keep this squadron on top even as it is,but considerring the
points recruitment could bring us in this competition,i think it's worth making it a priority again. However, keep this in mind...we only need top
pilots, not inactive ones. This second category will only stay in our way:) So keep your eyes opened for any good pilot that might join our
squadron.

NEWS

1. Our dear BGCOM Cyric has been promoted to full admiral. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!(sorry if this may sound as old news...but i wasn't
here....lol)
2.This is the end of the first week of the ASF Supremacy Competition III. As far as i know, Grey Wolf is in the lead:) Also, sorry if i'm mistaking, but
from what i know, our squadron is the third ,following the Crusader and Odin squadrons. Well....this is good, but it can be better! I don't think this
position coresponds exactly with our goal and our dream...what do you think? Take some action guys!!!:)
3. All our pilots are back from their leave and are active now. Make sure this is noticed!..hehe

FICTION

Well guys...there's a lot of fiction this week....so enjoy it:)
PART 4 of….
KHADGAR’S TEA!
By LCM Jatz Crakker

Azazel froze, a paralyzing sensation interrupting his meditation. Despite having dimmed the lights in his quarters earlier, his cabin was now being lit with ethereal
energies, emanating from no particular direction or source. The Force, like a tidal wave, engulfed him, and he fell forward, overawed, on his hands. Questions
surged through his mind as he grappled with the powers concentrating themselves in his cabin.
‘Arise, faithful servant’
A voice as cold as the void called to him, and he lifted his head to discern its source. There before him, bathed in crackling crimson light, was the apparition of the
late Emperor Palpatine.
‘What is thy bidding my master?’ Azazel said as he sat back on his knees.
‘Ah, so many questions…’the Emperor replied in a tone which suggested pleasure at his servant’s obedience.
‘…for now, though, you need know only this. The time has come for my return, Azazel. However my spirit, strong as it is in the force, requires a vehicle; a mortal
body in which to affect a complete return.’
‘Take mine, my master. It would be an honor to sacrifice myself for you…’ Azazel bowed deeply before the apparition.
‘Ha ha ha…your loyalty shall indeed be rewarded…but no, Azazel. Your mind is an asset to our cause. I have instead had my eyes on another. A man who’s head
is so devoid of thought, that entering his mind would be akin to walking into a vacant room.
I have probed this man’s mind. His will is weak. He will be my vehicle. I have already made arrangements with the Dark Brotherhood. They will take the subject
to **** and perform the necessary procedures to fuse his body with my spirit.’
Azazel looked up at the apparition. ‘What role must I perform in all of this, master?’
‘The subject’s name is Jatz Crakker. He serves under you. Presently he does battle with Rebel forces on the planet ******. The confusion of this conflict will serve
as a smokescreen under which my Dark Brotherhood representatives will secure Crakker, and spirit him safely back to Aurora Prime. Your task Azazel, is to ensure
no harm comes to this man. There are few in Imperial service whose minds are as empty as his. Ensure also, that my representatives escape unharmed. They are the
only ones who know the proper procedures that will facilitate my return. Proceed to **** now, Azazel. Time is of the essence….’
And with that, the apparition faded, and the room was once again plunged into darkness.
Azazel rose to his feet, and reached for his lightsabre. This mission must be a success. And he would see to it. Personally.

DarkC got the call from Leslaw regarding the X-Wings, and together with Tomaas they rocketed back towards the city. Judging by the co-ordinates Leslaw and
Woobee sent, DarkC reasoned they were in the path of the bomb-run. ‘DarkC to Crakker, heads up. We’ve got some company on the bomb-run, Tomaas and I
are moving to intercept.’
‘Roger that, Commander. I err…hey, get the hell out of my head, old man!’ Jatz shouted.
‘Wha…? Crakker, what is going on over there?’ DarkC demanded, a little confused.
‘Oh, uhhh, nothing, nothing. I just have this…big headache…that’s all…’ he replied.
‘Well okay then. Just sit tight, we’re almost there.’
DarkC settled into her chair and glanced at her displays. To the east, Leslaw and Woobee in their gunboats were pounding ground forces around the assault
transports landing zones. To the north were Tartarus’ three bombers, in formation at altitude. Tomaas’s voice crackled over her headset. ‘I’m picking up three, no,
make that four bogeys to the north. They’re moving slowly, I think they’re just taking off.’
‘This is DarkC, roger that, Tomaas. Switch to missiles and engage at long range. Fire when you’ve got a lock’
‘This is Crakker here, I see fighters below me…er…a little help? ‘
‘Stay in formation, Crakker, I don’t want them to know we’re coming,’ DarkC replied.
DarkC poured on the power in her interceptor as she tried to get within firing range of the X-Wings. She picked up one bogey on her HUD, and she adjusted the
missiles’ sights to cover the target reticule.
“Tomaas to DarkC, I’ve got one bandit in my sights, waiting lock-on’
‘Roger that Tomaas…’DarkC replied.
She could see on her displays the X-Wings picking up speed as they nosed their way skyward towards the lumbering bombers. DarkC resisted the urge to grow
agitated as her sight flickered away, a weak yellow. Her hand rested on the throttle, already pushed to its limits. A bead of sweat ran down her forehead as she
concentrated on the little recital that represented the attacking X-Wing.
‘This is Crakker, er, guys…my alarms are sounding…I think they’re locking onto us…’
The sight on DarkC’s display turned bright red.
‘This is Tartarus 1-1, fox-1, fox 2, missiles away!’ Two bright flashes of light streaked out from DarkC’s interceptor as she launched two missiles at her target.
‘This is Tartarus 1-2, fox-3, fox 4, missiles away.’ Tomaas reported as another two missiles launched, this time from his craft.
DarkC watched with baited breath as the missiles arced through the sky towards the X-Wings. Her first missile flashed passed the lead X-Wing, who
jinked…straight into the path of her second. The missile exploded, ripping off two of the X-Wing’s starboard wings, and the craft spun wildly out of control. There
was a burst of flame in the distance as both Tomaas missiles punched through the fuselage of a second X-Wing.
Debris was everywhere in the sky as X-Wings, Interceptors and bombers converged on each other. DarkC maneuvered past a piece of the first X-Wing’s engine as
it flew through the air. She looked back as she pulled out of her turn, and was horrified. The lead bomber was struck by flying debris, and broke up in mid air.
‘Jatz, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!’ DarkC shouted….it was too late.

WILL Jatz Crakker survive? WHO cares? WHERE is this story going? WHAT is Khadgar up to? All those questions answered and more…unfortunately…in part 5
of…Khadgar’s Tea. Next week.

*======================================*
* TITLE: TIE Interceptor: Deadly Waltz *
* PART: III (Chapter 1: The Rival) *
* AUTHOR: CPT Tomaas Banys *
*======================================*
Tomaas stared out the window of a casino aboard the luxury liner "Emperor Raditz". The casino was quiet since the EH Command Staff spent most of their time in
liner's bars and cantinas - where they had prepared new battleplans and rested after long years of continous administrative paperwork related to real command
responsibilities. {Well, I know they deserve a bit of relaxation - but why I am here? I shouldn't have taken these orders! Father - you're wrong. I DO fit as Tartarus
Squadron commander and I won't listen to your claims. I won't. No way. Never.} He sighed, but it did not make him feel better. Since the beginning of his leave, he
felt strangely alone. He didn't know nobody onboard the liner - and didn't run around the place saying 'hi' as sometimes people do. {If they deserve a rest, and they
do, I shouldn't spoil their party.} He headed back for his cabin - and found, as usual, a 14-day late fleet newsfeed. He locked the door and took a look at the
sparsely design of his quarters. He liked it, and nearly forced the poor liner captain to report him to the Security too get it.
He sighed again. He felt... bitter and empty. Bitter that he was sent away from his squadron, from his people. Empty... because he missed them. {Father... you
shouldn't have done this.} He opened the liquor cabinet and took a glass and a bottle. {Hmm... Wing Commander's Reserve, nearly 25 years old.} He smiled when
he thought about the first time he drank it - and it was right before the battle of Hoth.
The drink made him ease a bit - however, he still wasn't well and had another one... followed by another few. He was an excuse for an imperial officer in his own
opinion and he knew his father would do everything to make this come true. He undressed and felt much lighter - but surprisingly uncomfortable without his uniform.
{No, I won't sleep in it. I'd look like a drunk man, and that is what a man must avoid at all costs. Even here.} He took two blankets from his locker and turned off
the light.
Captain Meke Shrike of the New Republic Inflitrators smiled. He stood in the hallway near the crew compartments. Getting aboard the liner was a masterpiece. He
and his men were pacificating the crew and taking place of their officers - and for now everything was running smoothly. It turned out to be a very stealth, but
possible mission. They were given the job of securing the vessel and hyperjumping to Sluis Van where the EHers would be interrogated and eventually sent down to
most secret and secure labor camps ever existed. The plan was nearing completion.
"Weapon emplacements secure. Proceeding with mission." reported unit four. This meant that in 15 minutes they would be able to get to the bridge and commence a
hyperjump. No need to fight with the tight escort of a TIE Defender wing around and the Missile Boat reinforcements. No need to go through the blockades. The
NRAF couldn't use even a half of their squadron here, the territory was to deep within the imperial regions. {And so, we will take them intact and I will get my
colonel uniform at least. We won't fail.}
"Hey, what are you doing here?" An imperial army corporal, very young, was pointing at him from a blaster carbine. {The kid doesn't even have 18 years! He must
be a real sharpshooter, then.} "Explain yourself at once. This is a restricted area for such crewmen as you."
"Sorry. I didn't mean to. Should I show you my identification, sir?" - Shrike attempted to play his role perfectly. "I was just checking the wiring." He pointed at a fuse
box. "Everything is normal here, though."
The kid hesitated and that was his chance. He drawn out his holdout silenced blaster and fired twice to be sure. However, the kid was very quick and managed to
dodge the second shot. Still, he sinked down on the floor, firing his carbine. {There goes stealth!} thought the captain. "All units, hurry, we have a complication." He
rushed down the corridor.
{Blaster shots? Here?} Tomaas immediately got up and taken his sidearm heavy blaster. He carefully opened his door and saw a young imperial army corporal lying
next to his door. He examined the man and noticed he was still alive. "Hey! Can you hear me?"
The kid blinked and smiled. "Yes, but I don't think I'll stay this way for long."
"Who were they?"
"NRAF, Infiltrators probably. Very quick. The officer that shot me was one of their leaders, for sure."
"Uh-oh. If they're really here, they want to get the Command Staff. And we can't allow them to do so. Does anybody know?"
In a reply to his questions, alarms started to sound all over the place. The kid's face got pale. "Hurry, the guy ran to the bridge. Stop them, if you can! Take my
blaster carbine with you. I also have few stun grenades. Take all."
"Aren't you gonna need those, corporal? I'll leave you my blaster."
"No need for that captain" the kid smiled weakly "- I can't see no more. I'm dying. Get that bastard and save the bosses before it's too late. I..." his eyes went shut
"apologise for the security breach."
The kid passed away forever, leaving the captain no choice but to follow his directions. He sighed. {What I got myself into?} He dissapeared in a cloud of smoke
that rendered the corridor. He was about to show the Infiltrators that they have made a big mistake by standing in his way.

POETRY
As all the relations inside this squadron are based on friendship, this is a little poem i wrote and i wanna dedicate to all of you:)

"Autumn dreams"
by CM DarkC

When you feel down, just close your eyes and start to dream
You'll start to feel like flying without wings
Because no matter how imposible your dream may seem
You never know for sure what the next day brings.

You may find out someday that your dream comes true
And all incertitude and pain and lonelyness just ends,
The only thing you can't forget is always to believe in you
And most important thing for you is never to forget that you have friends.

They are for real and they are always there for you
The only thing you have to do is show them that you care
And even though they are so far away behind computer screens,
They are what you have always needed and they'll always share your dreams.

RECORD OF THE WEEK

Well i think i'm not able to recommend any record this week...lol. I've been listenning to all kind of music this week, while flying those battles, but to be honest i didn't
pay to much attention to it...hehe....i just love all kind of music. An on the other hand i won't recommend you anything because you need to concentrate on the
competition not waste time listenning music...lol
But,i don't want to sound to rough...lol...while you pursuite and kill those rebels you may turn AC/DC's "High way to Hell" very loud inside the cockpit...lol
