G'day Tartarusarians! I almost thought I would have to release a half-baked report... fortunately TC.org has come back online in time for me to fully complete this report. As a guy from Wopshire once said in an advertisement for coffee "How wonderful!"

News
LC Azazel has announced this week that the new Valkyrie CMDR is CM Raven Lockholme! Big congrats to her! I have served under her command and know her to be a fine officer. Valkyrie will thrive under her excellent leadership.
CM Leslaw and CPT Tomaas Banys have been working on some dramatic new improvements for our website! The website might be undergoing a major face lift in the near future. Stay tuned.
VA Khadgar has announced that a new Vortex CMDR is required. Unfortunately CM Gilad has to resign :(
ASF:SC 3 starts today! Get busy people! We really want to roll in some citations, this is what we are good at, and it is worth a lot of points for the squad! We want to be a winning squadron! And hey, if you get get some LoCs or new recruits in, even better!

* 4 months later *

New Republic outpost on planet T'V'Roon was a quiet location and seargeant Pzadro liked the assignment. Since Endor, NRAF forces in the entire sector were doing nothing. Forces! A MC-60a cruiser and few smaller vessels. And the base personnel. There was nothing to guard. Chilling 'round, shooting mynocks, playing sabacc, watching holos - taking a quite pleasant vacation. Few years passed and nobody believed something could end their tropical leisure... including the Command. Pzadro smiled and decided to go back to the barracks. There, he would get some rest and prepare a bit for the colonel's birthday party. {Yes... this should be a fine eve'in', Pzaddie} he thought.
He pushed the button in right of him and the massive, reinforced door he faced began to open. When they did, the seargeant noticed that something was wrong. There was blood on the floor - and there was no sign of life in the interior. The corridor was totally empty and he shrugged in disbelief. {No, this can't be?!} His senses noticed something else: clicks behind him as he heard a human voice.
"Don't move!"
{Oh, that's just great} thought Pzadro as he tossed away his belt with his holstered sidearms. He was about to try something, when he heard the man giggle, what wasn't normal for a stormtrooper.
"Turn around, slowly."
He turned around. Slowly. Like the voice directed. Moments later, he was fighting with himself. He wasn't afraid no more. He smiled. "You blasted scoundrel! That's how you treat your brother? What brings you here?"
"A few things. I need you to help me with some slicing. I've located the Emperor's Hammer. They're-"
"That's no surprise." Pzadro laughed. "Everybody knows where their territories are. It's no revelation at all."
"No, but I'm talking about their very command staff and some of their veteran pilots taking vacation on a luxury liner. Only few defenses."
Seargeant Pzadro nodded. "If so, we can't talk here. Go with me." The men approached one of the nearby turbolifts. "We'll just-"
As the door slid open, Pzadro held his breath. Inside the lift were men. He faced a solid line of ivory-armored imperial stormtroopers. Full squad. Blaster rifles and repeaters. This time, it was dead serious.
"Drop your weapons. NOW!"
{Shit! The information we know of is too important. We must get out of it alive.} Instead of dropping his weapons, he pushed the button closing the lift door and sounding the alarm. He was fast, but 3 blaster bolts hit him. He was fading away.
"Brother, go to the Intel office down the corridor! And take this" - he gave him one of his blasters - "because you must deliver this information."
"INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!" - the speaker howled.

The base generators exploded in a ball of flame. Commander Christina Vidrascu smiled. Her squadron, Tartarus opened the way for Cobra to secure the base. {If only Tomaas could see this! Too bad he's on that liner, he misses a hell of a party!} she smiled again.
"Chris, this is Woob. We have a shuttle taking off and those Cobras apparently missed it. Should we intercept?"
"Yup. All flights, commence interception!"
Tartarus fighters closed in and were attempting to shoot the shuttle down, but it's shields were a bit stronger than usual. Suddenly, a small niche opened in it's belly and 6 delirrium mines spread on the squadron. Tartarus pilots tried to evade or shoot them down and had to stop the pursue. As they dodged and fired at the mines, the shuttle passed near VSD/II Wraith and entered hyperspace. The Hammer failed to hit the avnil.

Poetry

Sorry folks, but I decided to write some poetry. I have not done this before, so perhaps it is terrible. It might be considered superficial by practicioners of the art. It might be considered incomprehensible by others. Who give's a rat's really? I actually enjoyed writing it. So nyer!

Moment

The sheeting rain dark spring air,
unyielding insubstantial vessel,
decried comfort,
clean almost sweet golden,
red globes drying bright white light,
consider pleasure.

Record of the Week

Woobee checks what he wrote last week...

Wouldn't do to say the same thing as last week. :)

I am listening to Ben Folds Five self titled album. This great band broke up. *sob*, but nothing lasts forever I guess. Nonetheless they produced a number of excellent albums. They made it fairly big with a single off this album called 'Underground'. This album in particular just seems to keep on affecting me. There are seriously no bad tracks on this album. I really love the tunes 'Philosophy' and 'Boxing'. I'm a bit of a sucker for a sad tune, but I also love going-off rocking, and these boys do it all. I always say this, but get this album!

Competitions
Tartarus weekly (august) competition (APROVED!!!!) FINAL RESULTS
It will be a weekly competition starting every friday of the month.
The battles that are counted for this one will be TC-TIE #25 - 50 and TC-XvT #11-15
Also fiction or graphics submissions as well as battle creation will be taken into consideration as following:
- each battle flown (no matter the number of missions) - 5 points
- fiction or graphics - 3 points
- battle creation - 5 points
The pilot who will get 25 points or more every week will get an IS-BW.

Here is the total points accrued in this compettion since it began:

Leslaw - 65 points (TC-TIE #26,27,28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 44 TC-XvT #12,13)

Propaganda office Graphics Comp - 1st September and ends 15th of September. It will be open for all ASF members. Goal is to create Propaganda Office banner. It should be 500x75 big. Allowed are .jpg and .gif formats. Graphics please send to propaganda_office@yahoo.com and cc to VA Cyric. We will choose the best one. The winner will get BS.
And of course, ASF:SC 3! I think you all have been bombarded with lots of info about this one. If you are in any confusion about what I am asking of you, here is what I need you to do. Be active! Whatever you like doing, do lots of it this month! The more you do the more you and your squadron will be rewarded!

This week saw the return of CPT Tomaas Banys hurrah! Things were otherwise slow, but now ASF:SC 3 has arrived!

CPT Tomaas Banys "Wolfmaster" - Submitted some fiction, created a snazzy new banner for the squadron (yep, it is on the homepage right now), completed IWATS XTT (100%) and mIRC/2 (no mark yet), and submitted TC TIE 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 46! What can I say? Welcome back mate!
LT Jatz Crakker "Jatz" - Two weeks in a row no contact at all. I am disappointed.
LCM Arcadius Calidus "Vulcan" - On leave 'til 01-Sep.
SL TK-7253 "Grand Moff JM" - This is the third week where i have heard nothing from you at all. You have not yet run out of time, but the ice you skate is getting pretty thin. Please get in contact.

Final Thoughts

My tenure as a-CMDR is almost at an end but for a few days, so this will be the last WSR you see from COL Woobee for a while. No, stop weeping in the back there! You are Imperial pilots! :P

It has been a stress free task, and I thank you all for being good and well behaved. It has been a pleasure to lead you.
