Squadron Site Revamp
Ok, it seems that the main part of the Samekh site is still having some difficulties. I discovered this while I was visiting my sister-in-law in Kansas City during the week. When I pulled up the site to check the MB I noticed that certain parts of it weren’t coming together, and others just weren’t lining up at all anymore. I’ve taken a good look at in my Frontpage and it comes out even worse there. So in light of this I’m asking anyone that would like to take a stab at making Samekh a new mainpage complete with a customized header and navbar to let me know so that we can discuss the layout. A rich reward for anyone that feels worthy of tackling this problem. ;P

Activity
Once again, a slow week in terms of overall flight activity. I found myself stuck in Kansas City, KS most of the week, so my online time was extremely limited. I am encouraged by the recent increase in IWATS activity from Samekh. I encourage everyone to take as many courses as you can to help IWATS break their new barrier. Remember, the more participation they have in taking their courses the more likely they are to create even more for the EH to use later.
Recruiting
We are still in need of new pilots gentlemen. Let’s go get those new recruits pilots! ;) We need four more pilots to be a full squadron again! Your CMDR’s personal thanks to the members of Samekh that have taken the time to recruit. I encourage everyone to send out letters offering assistance to as many CT’s as you can. Remember, no invitation to join Samekh or Wing V is to be issued. Big Brother is watching the emails sent to Daedaleus, so don’t let me receive any notifications from the FO, TO, or SO about recruiting violations.

WING V NEWS
New SovCOM!
COL Proton was chosen to replace FA Kramer as the new COM for the Sovereign! He subsequently was promoted to Rear Admiral as well. Lets all remember to be kind to Proton even though he now holds one of those dreadful Admiral ranks! ;P
New Wing Commander!
The word is out! COL Sickman has been selected to replace RA Proton as the new WC of Wing V! It’s going to be a pleasure serving with Sickman as the WC!!
September Wing Competitions!
Comp 1 - WC/COL SickMan need’s an assistant or assistants, all Wing V are invited to invent 1 or 2 helpers for Sicky, the winner of the most imaginative helpers will receive a IS-SR, Winner will be announces 1st of October.
Comp 2 - RECRUITMENT
The Squadron who recruits the most members from now until the 1st of October will have the honor of the WC`s own for September!
Comp 3 - Tale Telling
A story comp where all member of Wing V are again invited to write a story, long or short about anything Wing related, best story will win a IS-SR, winner will be announced 1st of October
Comp 4 - to Art or not to Art? That is the question.
Again a Prize of a IS-SR to the member of wing V that designs any kind of art for the Wing V website, other winner maybe declared if there are more than one excellent piece.

EH/TC News
Reopening of the EH Polling Center

The Logistics Office has relaunched the Emperor's Hammer Polling Center. The new URL is http://iw.ehonline.org/LO/polls/polls.asp ! The way this new Center will work is to create different accounts for each EH Member to track their votes and also to determine different statistics from different, wings, ships, and subgroups. The EH Member will eventually be able to place his history, his Imperial Census response, and his poll answers, along with trivia submissions, poll ideas, and different file logs into one large database through the administration feature. This is the hallmark site in EH Record Keeping and Archival purposes. Special thanks goes to Vice Admiral Crusader for creation of the polling center. It has been a long time coming but the EH Polling Center is back along with the rest of the Logistic's offices statistical suites. Go to the site and get your self an account today! Be part of the EH's History, a part that will be remembered.

From now on, if you copy-paste the example code for aliases and popups into questions 9 and 10, you will be marked incorrect for it. You MUST come up with your own alias and popup based upon your own ID line.
New battles' abbreviations...

I guess some will yell at me for changing the things they were used to, but battles, now sorted by platforms rather than subgroups, have new abbreviations, subgroups and platforms are swapped. For example Xwing Alliance TIE Corps Battles change from TC-XWA to XWA-TC. ID, BHG and CAB battles gain a "TIE-" addition to their abbreviation.
These measures are aimed to develop subgroup battles; the Tactical Office is not only the Tactical Office for the TIE Coprs, but for the entire Emperor's Hammer even if some subgroups have some active Subgroup's TAC-like office (well, only IW and maybe DB..).
These measures may seem useless and only bringing more confusion, but it makes more sense to classify battles per platform than subgroup, as a pilot would not choose the battles or missions he will play because it's a TC or a DB battle, but first because it is a TIE or an XWA battle. Remember that all pilots can play any battle, TC, IW, DB etc even if they are not members of these subgroups.

Some changes in the battle center: battles and missions are now sorted by game platforms, rather than subroups. A little reminder, pilots are able to fly any battle, not only those from his subgroup; for example, a TIE Corps pilot can fly an Infiltrator Wing battle.
