The Death Of LT Jastor
This week one of our own has passed away. LT Jastor Flight Leader of Flight Three has died in an automobile accident. He was a good man and he was a Vortexian. For this we shall remember his name and honour it forever as Flight Three has been renamed Jastor's Black Watch.
LT BlackHero has been transferred into Vortex and will assume the Flight Leader Position of Flight Three. Everyone take the time to introduce yourselves to LT BlackHero. Welcome aboard LT!
ASFSCIII final scores have not been posted as of yet. The Unofficial winners are the ISD Grey Wolf in a landslide victory(I believe the other two ISDs scores combined would not beat us), Crusader squadron wins the squadron competition with a tight victory over Odin, and LT Bruckmack slaughtered everyone in the single player event. Vortex finished 5th on board the ISD Grey Wolf! Although we finished 5th we could quite possibly be in the top 10 overall in the ASF.
CONGRATS to Crusader and Odin on a fantastic battle to be the best squad in the ASF. Vortex will be gunning for you both in the future. You can count on it!
A squadron competition is in the works between Tartarus, Vortex, and Phoenix at the moment. Details to come soon!

CM Sarin 5 LoCs and two DFCs
It has been a slow week for everyone in the Squadron. School and real life can take away from Tie Corps time. I understand that all of you are busy and pity each and everyone of you. Indeed the real reason you joined the Tie Corp and Vortex was to be inactive and receive pity for the hectic pace you live your life! Well no pity from this Commander. Get your lazy corpses into a Tie Fighter and begin slaughtering Rebels/Pirates and any other garbage that flies before your mighty Imperial Eyes. I will not tolerate lazy pilots. If you are looking for a Vacation let me know, the Nebulon B-2 Frigate Phoenix; which houses our reserve pilots, is always looking for Junior Officers to clean the mess hall and serve drinks to retired Admirals. I have no reservations about shipping each and everyone of you to Server duty in the reserves. I need effort out of each and everyone of you! And now your orders for the week.
CM Sarin: +100FCHG gain. I need to get to a 1000FCHG before November 2. That will be quite a task.
CM Gilad: Report in. If all possible download some missions and fly. I talked to you last week and know that you will soon be back. Your leadership and experience will be a great return!
MAJ Arathar: I have made a reservation for you on board of the Frigate Phoenix, enjoy retirement Major!

CPT Schwarick: Where Did you go this week? We need to see some serious action from a long time Vortex Vet like yourself. Lets see XVT 13, 14, 15 from you! Fly anything else you desire, as long as you fly! Get me some missions so I can get you some medals!
LT Darksaber: TCXVT 10-17 Take your pick. You need to show me some effort or you may begin to chase my record for longest service as an Active Lieutenant.
LT Maltez Buffton: You need to start downloading missions and flying this week. Download TCXVT 1, 2, and 3 and begin flying the battles. If you need help with installing the custom missions let me know.
LT BlackHero: Not yet an official member of the Squadron but you will be soon. You are to begin flying all XVT Battles you can get your hands on. This is an XVT ship and we need to hold squadron citations for all available XVT battles.

Squadron:
A young man lost his life this week and he will be missed amongst our ranks. My thoughts go out to Jastor's family and friends. He was a good kid and a good pilot. Let us each honour him in our own way.Vortex Squadron is still rebuilding in an attempt to regain what it once was. The arrival of LT BlackHero is a great step in the right direction. I have all the confidence in the Galaxy in BlackHero. I am currently organizing a squadron competition with some of the other squadrons and we will soon have ourselves a little test to see just how far we have come. Get Ready!!! Each and everyone of us needs to improve our activity this week. Do not let me down Pilots!!! Remember there are many EX-Vortexians out there watching our progress, we will not let them down!!!
