Talon Squadron Report - 28/10/2001 - CM Keldorn Reporting
Welcome to the first "official" Report since I was granted command of Talon Squadron. This past week has seen several basic changes to the Squadron, namely the arrival and departure of a number of pilots. I must say that I'm pleased with the number of replies received from you, the members of Talon. Things are looking hopeful.
Arrivals and Departures
I had to request the removal of several members due to inactivity, incorrect e-mail address and other reasons, not something I hope to be doing in the future. Those members that were removed were:

Alongside the departures I'd like to acknowledge the arrival of several members. Definitely a more progressive move and hopefully a move that will better Talon. Please join me in welcoming the following new members:

New Competitions
Until I can sort out with LC Death a suitable multiplayer activity I've launched two single player competitions. These competitions are to fly XvT-TC Battle #3 or XWA-TC Battle #1. Due to these both being official Training Office-approved competitions the pilots with the highest score will receive Iron Star Bronze Wings awards. Both these competitions run until 4th November 2001, a little close for an ending date, but there was a minor delay in the approval of these competitions. Further details can be found:

New Home
Even though I lack any imagination the Talon Squadron site is online and relatively complete at http://talon-squadron.cjb.net/ . News will continue to be updated with any relevant details relating to Talon Squadron, including new competitions, arrivals etc.
Squadron Citations
Due to the modifications of the Talon Squadron Roster, our Squadron Citations changed several times in the course of the week, but I'm happy to report that we now have 2 citations:

XvT-TC Battle 4 - Encounter with the Black Sun
Multiplayer
Myself and LC Death will be getting together very soon to discuss the future of multiplayer operations in Talon. This promises to be a successful activity, and with LC Death teaching those of us who are more tailored to single player (Me >:P) it should be a fruitful future for the Squadron.
I'm aware that not so long ago, under the command of CPT Dae Cam, Talon Squadron completed the incredibly feat of beating the elite Avenger Squadron in a multiplayer competition. This is something I hope to see us repeating in the future, so stay tuned!
Standing Orders
I've decided to only implement one Standing Order for Talon Squadron, that is the most crucial of all elements, Communication. I ask that every member of the Squadron report directly to me by Friday of every week. Eventually I hope to get some "debates" going within the Squadron, probably via a Squadron mailing list.
Run-On
Following LC Death's recommendation I'll soon to be launching a fictional run-on for Talon Squadron, this is likely to be done via the message board, or e-mail, depending on what you would prefer. Therefore I ask that you all send a short message to me stating which form you would prefer, message board or e-mail, for our Squadron Run-On.
