Hello and welcome to the next Tartarus Squadron report! It has been a while since you last heard from me in any official way and it might seem strange to see me taking the lead again. I will do anything to continue the policy of further development and with Christina as my XO you should see the results soon enough. However without you the squadron is nothing and won't live. That is why my first order is: report back to me within 48 hours. I need to see check a few things and discuss them with you. Also, I need to see who of you wishes to stay active and who of you will have to receive new assignments soon. Let's get on to the report.

SQUADRON ISSUES

SQUADRON REBUILDING. Were at 10 pilots which means we have 2 extra starfighters in our hangar. Normally, I'd want you to recruit. Unfortunately, it is not that easy. First of all, we should get the squadron rebuilt. Yes, we are the 3rd ASF Squadron thanks to the Supremacy Competition. Yes, we have great pilots. Yes, we earned our titles. Alas, it have come to my attention that activity dropped from a reasonable level to a nearly complete stop, something I can't remember happening since I became your commander in May. This is not acceptable. With this attitude we'd sooner or later all get aboard the M/FRG Phoenix. No way. Not here. The vacation is over and even though I have so damn little time, I will be active and I will require every pilot in this squadron to stay active.
Also, I must say that I didn't hear anything from my flight leaders for a long time. If this will continue, I will replace them with excelling people. Period. You weren't appointed to be FMs with more promotional space, you are supposed to lead your flights, men. I expect you to prove yourselves again. I sent out the SR4 nearly a week ago and I still haven't hear from you. Report in at once!

NEW FIGHTERS. Remember the rumours about the new craft assignments for the ASF? Since we should get those in the nearest future, I want you to vote which craft you would like to have your flight equipped with. We can't achieve lots, but I'm sure AD Cyric will consider our votes.
My proposition is: 4xT/A + 4xGUN + 4xGUN(T/D). Note the Flight III. Gunboats are cheaper and easier for maintenance and better suited for pacification as well. However, the alternative would be TIE Defenders used primarily for quick bombing runs against most dangerous enemy ships and installations and for dogfight just afterwards. What do you think?

5. IN BETWEEN
+ We, WING XIII, had hard time due to a lot of transfers out. Those pilots left our ship to reopen Diamondback squadron on ISD/II Intrepid. This left Crusader squadron CMDRless and generally, lifeless. People continue to transfer out. A new Crusader CMDR is needed to bring the squadron back to life, I heard some pilots already applied to AD Cyric, VA Khadgar and LC Azazel; if you want to command Crusader, you have to be quick.
+ MSEs are being evaluated but no visible results so far.
+ Thanks to CM Khameir Sarin, the Vortex Competition was accepted this week. Details: www.imperialacademy.org/compdetails.asp?ID=920.
+ The new ASF MP competition is closing in! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for the hot ride, pilots!
+ Activity breakdown for the entire WING XIII. Most of us spent their time studying, relaxing poolside or doing anything but flying. I encourage you to leave this behind till X-Mas, pilots. We have our little goals to achieve.
+ LC Azazel stated, that he wants pilot files to be named like this: ####BSF. Example: 5660TIETC184.tfr. Got it? Good, because I won't be accepting submissions with other name format unless you'll have a very good reason of sending such BSFs.

FICTION CORNER

No updates. I've been too busy to continue the Deadly Waltz and I got no fiction submissions from my squadron this week. Sorry!

MUSIC CORNER

Record of the week:
Manu Katche, It's About Time, LC Records (FEA 00116-262617).
Quick review:
It is a very pleasant album, great for relaxation or as a background while you're not flying. I listen to it while writing e-mails or studying. Still, it is also good for anything if you feel it. Try to get your hands on this one!
CMDRs rating:
OOOOOOOOOO (8/10)
Additional comments:
If you're eager to hear it, I made some MP3 samples (15sec long, 128kBps, 48:D, ST) I might send you upon further requests.

BOOK CORNER

No reviews. I've been too busy. ;(

MEDAL BOARD

1. With Combat Event #1197 ending, I've been sent a confirmation that COL Woobee, our MP leader, had earned 5 Legions of Combat! Big congratulations mate, you're outstanding!
2. MSE medals are inbound... alas, I don't know who'll get what. Patience.

PROMOTIONS

1. CPT Tomaas Banys to Tartarus CMDR.
2. CPT Christina Vidrascu to Tartarus XO.

MP FLYING

Since we are a part of the ASF, we should take part in multiplayer matches. Due to that fact and as a way of motivating you, I'll count every LoC as a three standard submissions in the activity check (you'll get only one LoC though). Fly, fly, fly!

SQUADRON ACTIVITY

I'm not very pleased as I see the squadron got more active, but could do better. Remember about SR4 and the consequences of inactivity. Again, I ask you to get better next week. C'mon! If we have only 50% of people active, we can't meet our goals.

CPT Tomaas Banys. TC-5660. Tartarus 1-1.
I did a few nice things. First of all, I prepared the second WSR release template which you should see next week. I handled BSFs and attempted to fly... I did TIE-TC#184 and XvT-TC#17 (both pending review). I also tried to take part in Wednesday's GWC, but I haven't seen it start so I left after a 30min wait. Also, I had some administrative paperwork.
Comment: Medium activity.

LCM Jatz Crakker. TK-6887. Tartarus 2-1.
No activity.
Comment: Nothing. I haven't heard nothing from him for a while. No activity. Warning: If this continues, I'll be forced to strip you out of flight command and moreover, even maybe out of the roster.

CMDRs DESK

I'm tired of all the problems we're experiencing lately, but I believe we're done with them once and for all. I will bring Tartarus to moments of glory but only if you'll help me. If not, I won't take no responsibility for you. I'm faithful that we can become supreme though. Sooner or later... maybe with inactive people retired and fresh meat taking over, but we will. Squadron dismissed.

Respectfully submitted,
