SQUADRON NEWS
Folks, your about to see a change in the way your CMDR conducts business within Samekh starting with this report. I will be conducting an AWOL check in my next report. Anyone that fails to report in by the specified time in the email will be immediately AWOL’d out of the TIE Corps without exception! Things have gotten way to lax around here, and now is the time for Samekh to be at its highest operational readiness as more and more competitions and events are looming on the horizon. I am very disappointed by the lack of activity by the majority of this squadron, and now with the numbers becoming lower than ever before, we really need to step things up.
Samekh Egroup List – LC Wil_Striker
I sent out an email to each of you two weeks ago regarding confirming your joining the Samekh egroup list. This list will not be used for pranks or any other mischief, but for the sole purpose of keeping the squadron informed of news, events, etc. It will be open for anyone to submit new news items or updates to the squadron. I expect each of you to send in your confirmations in the next week without fail for this egroup!

Activity – LC Wil_Striker
Except for two key officers, activity basically sucks right now. This is going to change without exception. If you do not have the time to fly, then you do not have the time to be active! This means you should either make time to be active, or contact me for a transfer to the Reserves until such time as you can be active.
Recruiting – LC Wil_Striker
We are still in need of new pilots gentlemen. Let’s go get those new recruits pilots! ;) We need four more pilots to be a full squadron again! Your CMDR’s personal thanks to the members of Samekh that have taken the time to recruit. I encourage everyone to send out letters offering assistance to as many CT’s as you can. Remember, no invitation to join Samekh or Wing V is to be issued. Big Brother is watching the emails sent to Daedaleus, so don’t let me receive any notifications from the FO, TO, or SO about recruiting violations.

WING V NEWS
Wing V Pilot League 2001! – CMDR/CM Keiran
Ladies and gentlemen,
I have the honor of unveiling Wing V's Pilot League
for the 2001 season.
Yes, it is a pilot league, meaning you will be flying battles. To make the matter simple for all of you, all battles will be from the Tie Fighter platform!
Sessions will last three weeks, and the final submissions will be taken at Midnight of the due day.
As I announced, it is a pilot league, but scores will be done individually AND by Squadron. At the end of the Pilot League awards will be issued to the top 3
pilots and top squadron.
Commanders, this competition will give you a chance to rack up some more citations, and pilots, now you can show who REALLY is boss!
The first session will be starting on Sept. 10th (Monday). It will end on Sept 30th (Sunday).
I will be accepting submissions up to that date, so once you finish send it off. CC: your CMDR's because I'm not submitting the battle for you, just recording
the scores!
This Session's battle is TC-TIE 169 (or is it TIE-TC now? I'm confused already. :P)
Let the Competition Begin!
Oh, just as a side note, if I see that someone from the Wing has a High score in a battle, I WILL NOT pick it, just to make it fair for everybody else!

Advanced Guard Recruitment

I am now taking applicants to join the ranks of the Advanced Guard. The basic requirements in order to join are as follows.
- Minimum rank of LCM (MAJ for those in the Negotiation Commission and COL for those in the Diplomatic Commission)
- Mail response time of 24/48 hours
- Be able to work within deadlines set and submit a weekly report on current activities
- Responsible, and able to promote and represent the Emperor's Hammer across the world
Additionally, applicants should say why they think that they would make a good member of the Guard, and also any skills and qualities they have that may apply to the Guard. Imperial Storm final results

As some of you may or may not know, the latest Imperial Storm Exercise has ended (about a month ago).
As a Task Force Admiral of this years exercise, I would like to extend my thanks to Pri for making it possible, and although it ended a bit prematurely we here at Task Force DOOM had a lot of fun. I know I speak for the entire Battlegroups when I say that we're looking forward to the next IS to start, and with the recent assignment of VA Pel as our new War Officer I'm sure it won't be long.

Playing custom EH battles

When you fly a free mission or battle, always make sure you have the up-to-date version, by checking the Battle Center. i don't make announcements of battle updates, which doesn't mean some are not updated... actually there are some quite every day or so, so make sure to fly the latest version. They are generally better (bug corrected or other things), so you will enjoy them better as well... I know some of you download a bunch of battles and fly them weeks after, just have a look on the last update date...!
Another thing, fly a mission at least twice before posting a bug report... if you didn't complete it at the first time, it doesn't mean it is a bug, even hot shot pilots can fail sometimes >:-)
