SQUADRON NEWS
Temporary Leave – LC Wil_Striker
I will be on temporary leave from 9/25/01 to 9/30/01. I will be attending a National Microsoft Xbox Representative Training Conference in Dallas, TX and will be out of contact entirely during that time. I had someone set up to be A-CMDR, but a new situation has arisen in regards to the Nun CMDR position that may cause me to have to choose someone else to oversee Samekh operations while I’m away. I’ll send out an email to the squadron just as soon as the decision has been finalized on who I will select to be the A-CMDR.
A Veteran leaves our ranks
CM Owen Wolfstar had to leave our ranks for the Reserves due to RL issues. He will be missed, and I wish him a speedy return to active duty.

Recruiting – LC Wil_Striker
We are still in need of new pilots gentlemen. Let’s go get those new recruits pilots! ;) We need four more pilots to be a full squadron again! Your CMDR’s personal thanks to the members of Samekh that have taken the time to recruit. I encourage everyone to send out letters offering assistance to as many CT’s as you can. Remember, no invitation to join Samekh or Wing V is to be issued. Big Brother is watching the emails sent to Daedaleus, so don’t let me receive any notifications from the FO, TO, or SO about recruiting violations.

September Wing Competitions! – WC/COL Sickman
Comp 1 - WC/COL SickMan need’s an assistant or assistants, all Wing V are invited to invent 1 or 2 helpers for Sicky, the winner of the most imaginative helpers will receive an IS-SR, winner will be announced 1st of October.
Comp 2 - RECRUITMENT
The Squadron who recruits the most members from now until the 1st of October will have the honor of the WC`s own for September!
Comp 3 - Tale Telling
A story comp where all member of Wing V are again invited to write a story, long or short about anything Wing related, best story will win a IS-SR, winner will be announced 1st of October
Comp 4 - to Art or not to Art? That is the question.
Again a Prize of a IS-SR to the member of wing V that designs any kind of art for the Wing V website, other winner maybe declared if there are more than one excellent piece.

Wing V Pilot League 2001! – CMDR/CM Keiran
Ladies and gentlemen,
I have the honor of unveiling Wing V's Pilot League
for the 2001 season.
Yes, it is a pilot league, meaning you will be flying battles. To make the matter simple for all of you, all battles will be from the Tie Fighter platform!
Sessions will last three weeks, and the final submissions will be taken at Midnight of the due day.
As I announced, it is a pilot league, but scores will be done individually AND by Squadron. At the end of the Pilot League awards will be issued to the top 3
pilots and top squadron.
Commanders, this competition will give you a chance to rack up some more citations, and pilots, now you can show who REALLY is boss!
The first session will be starting on Sept. 10th (Monday). It will end on Sept 30th (Sunday).
I will be accepting submissions up to that date, so once you finish send it off. CC: your CMDR's because I'm not submitting the battle for you, just recording
the scores!
This Session's battle is TC-TIE 169 (or is it TIE-TC now? I'm confused already. :P)
Let the Competition Begin!
Oh, just as a side note, if I see that someone from the Wing has a High score in a battle, I WILL NOT pick it, just to make it fair for everybody else!
