- After the excitement of the last couple of months we all took a well earned rest last week. However, I hope you've come back refreshed for more of the same, as things we are at action stations once again.
- Details of the Hammer Squadron competition will be released in the next couple of days. The format will be the same as the Prae competition.
- Please can all pilots who haven't done so yet go to the Kappa Battle Board and submit their battles/missions. The URL is http://minos.net/~kse/kbb/main.php - I would like this fully up-to-date by the weekend.
- Tempest's great work as Kappa Recruitment Co-ordinator has payed off this week. Cadet Shimir will be the first new recruit to join Kappa in quite some time, and I expect all the old hands to make his transfer into our Squadron a smooth and enjoyable one. It will be nice to have some young blood amongst this Squadron of hardy veterans.
- Tempest has been awarded the Bronze Star for his consistently good work with the RO. Congratulations Temp!
- I am awaiting a good many of your votes for the new Kappa Squadron motto. I will be making a decision based on whatever votes I receive on Sunday.
- Imperial Storm III was a bit of a let down at the weekend. Myself and Stele were all ready to give the Battle Groups a serious dose of Wing II style whoop-ass when the news came through that BGs had forfeited the fight. Later on it was revealed that they had not only fled from this fight, but from the entire wargame. I've heard all their myriad of excuses now, but we all know that the real reason was that seeing two of Wing II's finest climb aboard their heavily armed Gunboats was too much for them to bear, and they soiled their pants!
- The deadline for submitting entries for the Wing I competition is 29th May. I expect all those able to at least get the TFR for TIE-TC 165 in - full details of the competition can be found here - http://www.emperorshammer.net/to/compdetails.asp?ID=1627

- An AWOL check is in progress - considering that I've heard from all of you over the course of the last week consider yourselves passed with flying colours! Well done - keep it up.

- Fly TIE-TC 165 for the Wing competition against Wing I - the deadline is 29th May - I expect 100% participation.
- Recruitment - please lend assistance to CM Tempest in his efforts to recruit new pilots.
- The New Face of Kappa - a new Squadron motto will be decided on Sunday. If you want a chance to influence the decision get your vote into me before then.
- Kappa Squadron Encylopaedia - if you have any submissions email them to Dash and myself and I will award KAPS points for your work.
- Fiction Competition - as you know I am writing a fictional epic titled "Apocalypse Rising" - I've written the prologue, but Chapter 1 will be bang up to date and incorporate all of you guys. I therefore want you to write your own mini-autobiographies so that I get an impression of how to build your personalities into the finished work. It doesn't have to be overlong - just something that I can use to help writing your character into my story - attitudes, allignments, physical appearance, mentality etc. - be creative, but be serious. I will also publish any work on your profile page of the Kappa HP. If I could have submissions by the end of the month it would be most appreciated. I'll give 5 KAPS points for entries, and a further 5 for the one I judge to be the best. Get that creative juice flowing. Keep those entries coming in.
