Commander's Thoughts
Welcome to another smashing edition of Hornet news and events. Most of our guys are back now save for one of them so as expected our activity level is climbing rapidly. I want us to keep it up and bring home. Lets stay with it guys remember it takes all of us to keep Hornet at the top.

Squadron News:
-Our competitions have ended and I will list the results below. I am disappointed in the participation in them as you could have gotten yourself a good medal with a little work.
-We now have 22 citations which is an awesome improvement over the last few weeks so keep it up, but remember you will be receiving battle requests, so please take them seriously because it will help us gain even more citations.
-All our new offices are now in effect, so ill list the guys new section and the respective officer for that office. I have requested them to add something to the WSR everyweek to let us know what they are up to and just to have more opinions in here than mine so I hope it all works like I plan.

Our winner for this one was LCM Jer Stryker who submitted an awesome piece of fiction on his history and experiences in Hornet Squadron…Good Job Jer!!!

Wing/Ship News:
-TopDog competion has ended and Hornet did not make it into the next round. You guys gave a good effort and for that I thank you. Well get them on the next one. The squadrons who advanced :

The second round will pit Scorp vs Wasp and the winner gets the pleasure of taking on Mantis. Good Luck to all who are participating.
-The Vanguard Newspaper Article Competition has ended and LT Snijglau won first and yours truly CPT Drax Remlinger took second.
-COM Leeson is currently running a poll on the Vanguard MB to see what kind of competitions Vanguard pilots would like to see take place so stop by and cast your vote.
-CM Serge Broskopf also has a competition running. Id like to see as many of you as possible participate in this competition as I think we have a few creative people in Hornet that does well at this type of thing. OFFICERS SECTION:

Executive Officer(XO)-LCM Jer Stryker
Gentlemen of Hornet Squadron: Your Commander, Captain Drax Remlinger, has challenged all of us. He has kicked into high gear and shown us all a thing or two what it means to be active here in the Tie Corps by flying over 100 missions in a month. He says that anyone who can out fly him in the coming months will get a "very nice" medal. I will be taking flight instructor lessons over the next month or two, so unfortunately I won't be able to meet this challenge just yet. But that certainly doesn't mean that any of you can't do it. Today, August 1, the counter is reset to zero and we are all tied. I am looking forward to seeing which brave Hornet pilot can fly the most missions this month. Good luck to you all


Tactical Officer(TAC)-LCM Jer Stryker
I would like to thank all of you who have put forth so much effort in the last two weeks since I have become Tactical Officer of Hornet squadron. During that time we have increased our citation count from 10 to 22! The next time I see any of you in the Tiger's Den I will be sure to buy you a beer for each citation you have helped us get.
On another note, I am still waiting to hear from almost all of you on which gaming platforms you own. I don't want to waste anyone's time by assigning them a battle that is for a game they don't own. So please everyone let me know if you have Tie Fighter, XvT, Balance of Power, and/or XWA.

We had very little MP play this past week guys...remember we all try to show up at the Tuesday Nite Frozen Doom Comp...Hornet has ruled that comp for a while so lets dont stop now..Now get out there and win us some LoC's boys!!!
