Commander's Corner:

-Welcome to another addition of the Mantis weekly report. There were several medals and promotions this week. I am proud of all of you for earning your medals. Activity has been low the last two weeks and I hope this is fixing to turn around. If you need to take a leave then email me and Brosky so we know what is going on. I do not want to AWOL anyone else. As soo as we win Top Dog, I will be talking to a couple of other commanders about working out some competetions with their respective squadrons. I know that I have ribbed some of you about flying more battles while on mIRC. This is only because I want to see Mantis at the top of the Vanguard and each of you rising through the ranks. Please do not take it personally. It is only in fun and in a desire to see you achive more. The last round of Top Dog has been put off until next week and I look for all of us to participate. Let's win this to show the rest of the Van that we are more than a group of misfits. That we are a force to be reckoned with. AY! DO MANI!!!


XO's Thoughts:
August is coming to an end and apart from the zombie-themes Snijglau keeps sendin' me, Broskopf didn't receive any submissions to his competition. Not graphic ones and not sound files. Come on guys. Are we all falling vast asleep or what? Activity seems to have dropped, without me nor Drake knowing why. Our best guess is that school is starting again, but it doesn't take days to get used to that, right? And if there is something that is keeping you from being active, Drake and Broskopf would like to know.

Squadron News:

-Promotions have come through for myself and Dufar. Congrats LCM Dufar Jabar on a well deserved promotion. Keep up the good work Drinks are on me and my new Captain's charge account.
-Snij, Dufar, and myself manged to pull down a Palpatine Cresent, while Brosky and Krayt pulled down an Imperial Security Medal a piece. Way to go guys! I am very proud of all of you for all your hard work.
-I have a new comp for August. It is a FCHG race. The pilot that gains the most points for the month wins a IS-BW. You boys are gonna have a hard time keeping up with me on this one.
-We have started our RPG. If you do not have the profiles or what has been written so far email either myself , Dufar, or Brosky.
-LCM Serge Broskopf is my XO. Please cc him on all squadron related things except pilot files.
-LT Dufar Jabar is our TAC officer. He will be emailing you with battle request. This is to help us gain citations. And yes, even the commander will be recieving battle assignments as well.This is a request not an order, but it is for the good of the squadron.
-LT Zerphirio Deryll has voluntered to be our recruitment officer. Please help him any way that you can.
-We are up to 31 citations. Thanks to those who are responsible for this increase.
-Pilot of the week is CM Serge Broskopf. Congrats man!!! Your bar tab is on me this week.


Wing/Ship News:

-CPT Drax Remlinger is now MAJ Drax Remlinger. Congrats to a former XO of Mantis.
-MAJ Drax Remlinger had accepted an invitation to join Avenger Squadron. The Van will be hard hit by his loss. I wish him all the luck in the world.
-We have made it through the first round of Top Dog and came out with the highest score on the Van. Now we have to wait for Scorpion and Wasp to fight it out to see which one we will face in the final round.
-Broky has gotten approvel for his competition. Here is the link for details.
