Squadron News
-Here's a message from the new BGCOM, VA Krax Tarnisar:

By now
all of you should know that I have replaced VA Drake as BGCOM of the TIE
Corps Battlegroups. Like many, VA Drake was compelled by RL circumstances
to resign his TC positions. His contributions to the TC have been great, and he
will be missed. Join me in wishing him Godspeed!
Now.most of you don't know me, or only know me by reputation. Over
the next weeks and months you'll get to know more about me. And I'll get to
know more about you. Ships and Wings in the Battlegroups tend to act in
isolation from everyone else. I'd like to see some of that change. The more we
know about each other, the better we can work together. And the better we work
together, the stronger we become.
A couple of notes on competitions. The Shameless Plug competition started
by VA Drake (using RogueWing's latest XWA battle) will be continued. Since many
have> encountered problems with downloading this battle, I've forwarded copies to your WCs and COMs. If
you want to take part, ask them for a copy or contact me directly. The deadline
for this comp is the end of August, and the highest score takes home the prize.
And don't forget, you need to submit a review of the battle as well.
I know it's been ages since we've had a Cantina Run. Well it's
that time of year again! The plans are underway, and look for the next
Battlegroups Cantina Run, which chooses the Flagship of the BGs, to start in
September.

In the light of the recent events on the e-group I have been forced to form some pretty strinct rules to prevent the same from happening again. From now on things that are not star wars and/or club related do not belong on the e-group. If you feel the need to share someting that's not club/SW related you can use the fun group, IRC or even the messages borads (as long as it can no be conidered as insulting/provoking of any kind). It does not however belong on the offcial e-group. If somone violates this rule he'll be warned, if it happens again he'll be moderted. Meaning that his messages must be approved by a admin before it's approved.
-Also, for
all of you, I've changed my email address. It's no longer nicknich17@yahoo.com; now it's EH_Hunter@hotmail.com.

-WE NEED NEW PILOTS. MAKE RECRUITING YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN.
-The BG Comp is still on, so fly XWA-IW 28 by the end of the month. You can find it here at http://www.emperorshammer.net/battles/battle.asp?record=830
-The 'History of the BG' Comp is still on, so consider creating some fiction, a graphic, or a mission. We've got the IS-GR, IS-SR, and IS-BR up for grabs!
-The Wing Banner Comp is also on, so make a new banner for the Wing to replace our old one. The comp ends on the 26th.
