Commander's Corner:
-Welcome to another addition of the Mantis weekly report. As you have probally noticed we have gone through alot changes on the Van this week. I think that we are the only squadron that has not lost any pilots and I am proud of this. We still need some form of activity from each pilot this week in acordance with RE Ekim's ship wide AWOL check. The last round of Top Dog has begun and we are going up against Wasp. And before you point out that Wasp has been shut down, we are going against CM Goad and LCM Paco.They are both currently in Echo but they are the only surviving members of Wasp. I want to thank those of you that showed up at my first squadron meeting. If you didn't make it you know who you are and I expect to see you at the next one as I will be doing it on a monthly basis. We also need to try to fly more MP. Snij is our most active pilot in that regards and I would like to see some of the rest of you trying to fly at least 2 comps a month. If you can make it, I am usually at Frozen Doom on tuesday nights. If that time is no good for you, let me know what comps you can make and I will try my best to be there. If you are making the comps and not winning any matches let me know. Don't get discouraged, i've only got 1 win this month and make several comps where I don't win a thing. I only get a report if you win an LoC. If it seems like I am pushing you guys here lately, it is because the Van has been in sad shape and I don't want us to wither away like some other squads have. I do not mean any of this personally and I do realize that you have a real life that needs to came first. I just don't want to see Mantis die.I do want to thank all of you for all the hard work you have been doing. I know thta it is not always easy to get the time for this. With that said, let's show the Van how it's done Mantis style. AY! DO MANI!!!
XO's Thoughts:
August is coming to an end and apart from the zombie-themes Snijglau keeps sendin' me, Broskopf didn't receive any submissions to his competition. Not graphic ones and not sound files. Come on guys. Are we all falling vast asleep or what? Activity seems to have dropped, without me nor Drake knowing why. Our best guess is that school is starting again, but it doesn't take days to get used to that, right? And if there is something that is keeping you from being active, Drake and Broskopf would like to know.

Squadron News:
-Congrats Brosky! Our own Serge Broskopf was awarded the Commendation of Loyalty. This is only awarded to three pilots in each wing and is only given out twice a year. You never have to pay for another drink as long as I am here.
-The final round of Top Dog is this week. If you haven't already turned in XwA TC 6, please do so by sunday night.
-The votes are in and you picked chooice #2 for our new mottos and nicks. The new mottos and nicks were approved today.
-I have a new comp for August. It is a FCHG race. The pilot that gains the most points for the month wins a IS-BW. You boys are gonna have a hard time keeping up with me on this one.
-We have started our RPG. If you do not have the profiles or what has been written so far email either myself , Dufar, or Brosky.
-LCM Serge Broskopf is my XO. Please cc him on all squadron related things except pilot files.
-LT Dufar Jabar is our TAC officer. He will be emailing you with battle request. This is to help us gain citations. And yes, even the commander will be recieving battle assignments as well.This is a request not an order, but it is for the good of the squadron.
-LT Zerphirio Deryll is our recruitment officer. Please help him any way that you can.
-We are up to 31 citations. Thanks to those who are responsible for this increase.
-Pilot of the week is LT A. G. Snijglau. Congrats man!!! Your bar tab is on me this week.
Wing/Ship News:
-VA Leeson has left the Van to be the new IO:CA. I am sorry to see him go and wish him only the best.
-Our new COM is RA Ekim Yellek. And if you haven't noticed he has begun cleaning house. One of his first acts was to begin a ship wide AWOL check. Any pilot with no activity before this weekend is up will be AWOL'ed. If you have a problem and will not be able to do anything by then let me know and we will see what we can do.
-Wasp has been shut down due to inactivity. CM Goad and LCM Paco have been moved to Echo. Goad of the new commander of Echo. Congrats man.
-We have started the last round of Top Dog. We are up against the survivors of Wasp. I need for those of you that have not turned in XwA TC 6 to do so by sunday night.
-CM Optimus has taken command of Hornet. Congrats Opti.
