Scorpion Squadron Report # 1

The lights were blacked out as MAJ Strahd entered the Scorpion briefing room. He had been lost for several days, recc'd for cmdr but not appointed, eh wondered if something had gone wrong. As he walked in and told the computer to bring up the lights the entire scorpion squadron looked at him with stone faces from around the room, all standing in a horse shoe formation. Ekim stepped forward, and knelt before Strahd offering him, the secret and mysterious "Scorpion Stinger" a ceremonial sword knownst only to the squadron members themselves. It represented power, intelligence, and respect itself. Only one member of Scorpion could ever hold the sword at a time, it was now being passed onto the new CMDR.

Strahd took the sword andraised the sword to the air. I was still in relative shock at the momment. I had many things to do and so little time to accomplish them in. With the moving of Ekim and myself, I'd have to pull double time to get the squadron up to top form for the Imperial War Games coming up.

All that and the head honchos still hadn't given the go ahead for my security clearance nor given the official word yet either. But I knew that this squad would be ok and we'd do our best.

"Ekim has started a new legacy and I'd like to cotinue that legacy! Let's show this ship what we're made of and be an inspiration to all!"

The room was silent as I continued my speach...

"I know we've been slacking off recently... This must stop. I also realize that we're almost all old codgers, kinda burnt out. And, of course, some of us have other obligations... but we can pull together, fly battles, write fiction, take IWATS courses, and create gfx... Our last SC is what propelled Scorpion to its position of greatness- Let's not let this one be our downfall!!"

There was general cheering...

Introduction:

Greetings all. I was finally given security access and my rank as Commander is finally official. I am sure most of you know me but I know that at least one of you may not so I'll give a short description of my Tie Corps career to let you get to know me.

All my career has been spent on the ISD Vanguard, I started out as a FM in Mantis and then moved up to FL for that same flight. (seems like ages ago) I was then given the opportunity to Command my first Squadron. It was Echo. I stayed on as Commander for a while then was given the chance to be the Wing Commander for Wing XV. After a few months and realising that that was a bit out of my league for teh moment, I decided to go back into a squadron...that's when I met you all. I was placed in Scorpion and have been there ever since.

News:

1. Congrats are in order to our newest LC. Our very own Ekim Yellek! A promo that is well deserved for such a great job!

2. I now have access and can modify the Scorpion Web-Site. So keep it bookmarked or in your favorites. I plan on using it quite a bit. I've already made some changes to it.

3. Many competitions are coming up. The Supremacy Competition 4 and the Imperial Storm 3. I would like to see activity. Anything really. A MP match, 1 Battle, 1 Free Mission, anything. We don't get points for doing nothing. I know that finals are coming up for some of us, and that you may have other things in the works too. So any activity is good. Please do at least 1 free mission for me this week. f you can do more, great! If not, fiction, graphics, anything!

4. I need a new uniform...anyone who would like to make me one, I'd appreciate it. It will count as activity of course.

5. If any flight would like an office in the Scorpion web site, let me know...I'll get on it ASAP!
