Hey Squadron Report #13 for Feb. 17th through March 3rd 2002.

Hey everyone, this report has been a bit late. I've been pretty busy with school and some computer stuff (upgrading to and reinstalling Windows XP). We've got a fair amount of activity to report, so let's do it!

SQUADRON NEWS
-------------

The Hey Squadron Training Office approved competitions are over. The flying comp was won by CM Tvan'Oris with 36 missions flown. The IWATS competition didn't get too much of a turn out this time, computer problems or just a lack of time. I completed one course on the 23rd, so it looks like I win that one.

LCM Alhana Creed has returned from emergency leave due to computer problems. Nice to have you back!

CM Tvan'Oris recieved many medals in the space of a week or so. An IS-BW was awarded for winning the above-mentioned flying competition. Two IS-SWs were awarded for participation in the Sovereign FCHG Competition, one for the most FCHG points in Wing III and the second for getting second place overall in that comp. Congratulations Tvan and great work!

We'll be taking a CRT this week, using an as yet unannounced free mission. When I find out, I'll let you know.

WING NEWS

The Wing meeting time might be changing. I wasn't able attend today to see what was decided.

Jahan is going to be releasing some new competition. More details will follow, so be ready.

New Tactical Staff Database

Thanks to the hard work of Rear Admiral Grail SoulChaser, the Tactical Staff has now a fully functional database, with beta battles and beta testers, at http://www.isdchallenge.org/tacDB. You can access there the listing of battles in the hands of the Tactical Staff, with their current status, beta reports etc. Right now, most of the staff need to be added, and battles status are not yet accurate. Please give us some time so we can be able to use fully this wonderful new tool.

Database/Homepage downtime

In order to prepare for the TIE Corps database to move servers, the system will need a few final upgrades before it's able to go anywhere. Sometime this evening, the TC database and homepage will be completely shut down temporarily for these upgrades.

Conventions Commission Competition

With the creation of the Conventions Commission (CC) I was thinking it would be good to have a official banner as well as splash banner for aofficial site which is in the making. The banner should be the normal size (400x40 pixels). The banner can be any size you want to make it, but please keep in mind that it that it will be on the page page of the CC homepage.

EH Pin Competition
