Strahd walks into the ready room, data pads
in one hand and a can of Aurora Cola in the other. It's been a busy 2 weeks
since the last meeting. With the exams at the Academie and the week long
war games it's been a blurr. He had hardly noticed that there was one chair
missing in the ready room for the newest transfer from the training school.
"We'll have to get another chair in here!
Get on it TC-14..." He motionned to Darref Suul to sit in LT KDog's chair until
the droid returned with adequate seating.
"I would like to welcome our newest member,
SL Darref Suul. He has already proven himself as a capable pilot and is alread
awaiting approval on his promotion to full LT."
The room was awakened by the sound of
applause and cheers. It had been a while since the last promotion of a SL and it
was a great feeling. then his face changed from teh smile it once had to a
cooler appearance.
"On a more somber note, if a few of you do
not appear at the next meeting, some of you will be transfered to the reserves.
So if any of you can get in touch with th epilots concerned and ask them to get
in here, please do so...but remember, we are here to be active not just be hull
ornaments for the Vanguard."
With a motion to the ensigns and droids,
Strahd ordered them out of the ready room...some pilots wrestled in their seats
fearing some bad news...
"Now, with that behind us, I'd like to
congratulate everyone who has participated in the Competition against Beth
Squadron, There were not many of you but there were some of you..." Strahd
walked around the room now in a confident stride, " Also, I'd like to say that
we are currently holding 3rd place overall in the points race for the SC 4
competition as well. With 2 pilots from our Squad in the top numbers. I'd also
like to say a big thank you to fellow squad mate Tarkin for winging with me in
the XvT WOW games. We have had many wins and I hope you all find sometime to fly
in the next games. Keep in mind that if you wing with a member of the Vanguard
and you win, we automatically get 2 LOCs for the Vanguard and if you
wing with a Squad mate...same thing goes for our points."
Strahd slowly backed away from teh
podium...raised his hand to the air while holding the Stinger.
"For the Vanguard! For Scopion! For Victory! Dismissed! "

to worries about promotion times and such...but I've been assured that it's
perfectly safe to move you around.
