The WC has announced the beginning of the Wing X vs Wing XX comp! This is a great oppertunity to show everyone that we are still quite the force to be recknoned with across the TC! Here are the details:
Part I - Fly TIE FREE #219, XvT FREE #97, XWA FREE #102 for the SP portion
Part II - Multiplayer flying in groups of 1v1 and 2v2 will be conducted in channels #asf and #wing_x. (I could use a multiplayer partner, so if someone's game, email me ;))
Part III - Create a fiction dealing with a night of drunken behaviour where some of us Wing X pilots run into pilots from Wing XX.
Part IV - A graphics competition in which a Wing X Cantina banner must be made, keeping in the spiritness of drunkness and such ;)
All of these can be submitted at any time throughout the month of July! All I ask is that everyone at least do TIE-FREE #219, everything else is up to you, though I hope you guys get into some of the other events as well, cause this should be fun :)
-Please contact the WC at jan.thriene@web.de so that he knows you're not dead. Tis a nice thing I know none of you will have a problem doing ;) Just try to take care of it ASAP alright?
-COL Master has started a run-on, so see if you can get in and try to continue on to the crazy story that's begun over here at the message board!
-COL Master has also started a Wing X Morale comp, where you must submit a document that basically glorifies another officer of this ship. While entrees aren't due till the 14th of July, I'd say it'd be best to get entrees in ASAP eh? :)
-Recruit! While 6 is a good number, it is only half of what we could be :) If you have friends or such who like Star Wars, get em in here! If you meet some guy in the Zone who seems cool, get him in here! More pilots the better!.
-If you guys have a comp idea or something you'd like to see on the webpage, or even something you think that we, as a squadron should do, please, send it on over! I'm always up for new ideas and such and I especially like getting them from all of you guys :)
-First off, big congrats to all of you, as we have been named WC's Own for the month of June!!! Tis thanks to all of your guys superb work and dedication that got us that title, and I know that each and every one of you contributed in a major way that made that possible. Let's continue to show this Wing just how much we can do, eh? :)
-Secondly, congrats to COL Master and myself, who ended up tying in the 3rd Semi-annual Tempest FCHG race! We ended up up on 132 missions, which to me is quite the accomplishment. Definetly need to also give credit to everyone else, as for the most part most of you guys put out some effort in this c omp, and I'm quite pleased with the accomplishments we ended up with :)
-Third, just so you guys know it was my birthday on the 2nd ;) I tend to keep most of these things under wraps, but Master and Chris remembered this year so I figure I'd just let it out of the bag to everyone ;)
-Fourth, big congrats to Master on being awarded a Gold Star for his superb work in the TAC office. Master has done a *ton* to make the XWA office work a lot more efficently, and I am quite proud of his accomplishments there. A reward well earned :)
-Fifth, the Tempest Squadron site has been having some problems lately due to me changing computers. Basically, I need to find a new server for this thing and I *don't* want to use minos.net. So, if anyone has any suggestions, please send them in ;P In the meantime, the site's dependability will be sporadic at best.
-Finally, I am again posting a list of battle that would give us another citation if the one person the battle was listed under would fly it. These are not mandatory, but if you feel like doing some flying, it'd be nice if you tried out the battles that were under your name :)

-First off, congrats to MAJ Calvin Senzin, who not only is this month's Pilot of the Month, but also defeated me in the Wing's Training comp, where he took first place in TIE and XvT, leaving me with second place in both those, though a comfortable first place in XWA... due to being the only submitter ;P
-Second, thoughts be with Woody as he struggles through some RL issues at the moment. Until he returns, the newly-arrived LT Ryan is A-CMDR... so thoughts be with him as well ;P
-Third, congrats also to LC Styles, who recieved an SS for his work in the TAC office!
-SA Astataine promptly resigned, then was unresigned, and then was HCI'ed with one mean strong slap on the wrist... with a feather ;P
-This week the TAC office offically managed to reach the 3000 mission milestone! Congrats to all who have helped participate in the continuance of the Mission Compedium over the past few years!
-Pri has set up a comp asking for people to basically do his INPR. This sounds like a good way to have a lot of fun as you can basically decided just what the history of the FO is, so check it out and give it a shot :) Details are over at EH.net
