This report was submitted by CPT RogueWing

CMDR/CPT RogueWing reporting in for Ghost Squadron on 12/28/01.

Quote of the Week
Score Recorded XWA 5581 The_Graz 14 kills vs. 4050 RW_XWA 13 kills THE GRAZ wins!

(Yea, yea, so Graz whooped my *** in a MP fight... well done.)

Squadron News
The big news this week is that Ghost was named BattleGroup Squadron of the Month! This is an unbelievably huge honor for us.
It is because of all of you that this is possible. I would like to thank each and every one of you for all your hard work. I also want to extend my thanks to MAJ Darksaber and VA Toran Dan for recommending us and to VA Mell who made the final decision.

After reviewing the submissions sent in, I have finally chosen an Operations Officer for Ghost. Everyone congratulate....(drumroll, please) LT Kamahl! He will be in charge of writing fictions when pilots join us, leave us, or get promoted. I will be getting with him in detail later on. He wrote a REALLY good piece of fiction, and I have put it at the bottom of the squadron report for the rest of you to read as well.

Also, this week's activity is doing really well. LT Assassin is to be commended for flying quite a few battles/free missions. And it looks like CM Grazioli is on a mission for LoC's. He has picked up 11 of them this week and a DFC. BTW, 3 out of the top 5 Multi-Player pilots on the Immortal are Ghost pilots. I am ranked at #1, CM Grazioli is #2 and LT Kamahl is #4. Way to go guys!

Squadron Status
No comps right now, but I believe XWA WoW starts today. If you need any help signing up at Battlestats, email me. This would be a good chance to brush up on you MP skills. In mid-January we will be having a comp with Falcon that will be a MP comp.

Also, there are going to be some changes in the roster. I can't go into details right now, but I am now accepting applications for a Flight Leader. If you are interested, send me an email with 2 things in it. The first should be a section on why I should make you a FL. Include your strengths and skills that would make you a good FL. The second should be a section on why you SHOULDN'T be a FL. That's right, tell me what your weaknesses are that would make a bad choice for FL. Why? If you can indentify what skills you need to work on, then we can work on them.

The Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle 'Revenge' dropped out of hyperspace and into the immediate area of the Imperial Star Destroyer 'Immortal'. The shuttle was carrying Ghost Squadron's newest pilot, Sub-Lieutenant John Doe. The Immortal was a good place to be, and being in Ghost Squadron was even better. Doe had always wanted to fly, which is why he joined the Imperial Tie Corps. He never imagined actually being stationed on such a massive ship. He had seen many in simulators, but they paled in comparison to the real thing. The long, triangular shape of the ship could be seen kilometers away, it getting bigger as the shuttle got closer. The ride wasn't going too bad, nothing really to speak of, except....the perimeter defense. An intercom turned on in the shuttle, and John Doe heard an unrecognized voice, "If you look to your left, those are your men." Doe wasn't sure what he meant by that, but looked over there anyway. "That's them, Ghost Squadron." Immediately Doe squinted to try to see the fighters, he only saw one, but it looked so graceful and quick, that it absorbed all of his attention. The fighter danced out of visual range, and Doe closed his eyes, and waited. Minutes passed, and the hum of repulsorlift engines underneath him filled his ears. The shuttle slowly landed on the deck of the Immortal, and Doe waited for the ramp to lower. The ramp gave a hiss, and the ramp slowly descended to the flight deck of the Immortal. Immediately Doe's nostrils could smell gases, what gases he knew not, but he knew it wasn't the cleanest of air. The intercom came on again, "Welcome to the Immortal, grab your belongings, and go down the ramp, someone will be waiting there for you." Doe grabbed his bag, and carefully walked down the ramp. Before him stood a Lieutenant, his name Doe didn't know, but the Lieutenant must be the 'someone' the intercom voice talked about. The Lieutenant put forth his hand; out of pure instinct, Doe put his out and shook the Lieutenant's hand. "Welcome to the Immortal. I am Lieutenant Kamahl, Operations Officer of Ghost Squadron. Follow me, and we will get you settled in." Doe wondered why Kamahl wasn't flying out with his Squadron, but he was glad he wasn't, otherwise he wouldn't get the tour of the ship by a Ghost..
