Asp Squadron Commander’s Report 1.12.02


CMDR’s Thoughts:
Things are way to slow around here. We need to pickup the pace on the activity. I started a TOP ACE Comp, and so far only two people have even participated. My thanks to LC Dengar March and RA Brakka for their confidence in me, and for the nomination for the Commendation of Loyalty. It was a very pleasant surprise to see that on my TC Profile. J

Asp Squadron TOP ACE Competition:
Well, the first full week of the competition has come and gone, with dismal participation. Only LC Wil Striker and LT John Clark participated, with LC Striker taking the win with a 96,840 to 79,579 point victory over LT Clark. Sorry John, better luck next time. ;)

I expect to see more participation for this next week. The new Battle is XvT-TC #18, and pilot files are due in by 2/18/02 at the latest in order to count for this round. Lets get busy people, or someone else is going to win that medal!

Multi-Player Competitions:
Just a reminder to everyone that the TC sponsors a number of MP comps each week where you can win some cool LoC’s, as well as additional points for your FCHG rank! I encourage everyone in Asp to try to take part in at least one comp each week. Show your support for Asp, Wing XIV, and the TC and participate!

Recruiting:
It is becoming imperative that everyone takes some time to recruit. Whether it is someone you know in RL, or someone you try to help on the M/PLT Daedaleus. Be sure and do your best to recruit at least one new member each. If you do we could be at full strength in no time!

Battle Citations:
We are still sitting with 11 Battle Citations, but this could be a lot better if everyone took time to fly. So far the only pilot, aside from myself, to help out recent weeks to win Asp more citations has been LT Clark. I hope others will follow his example and help us win some more. If anyone has questions about which battles can be flow to win citations, just visit the ‘Related Areas’ link on the Asp site, and then click on the ‘Asp Battle Citation Board’. It is color coded, and also shows which pilot has flown a particular battle. There are a number of battles that only need one more pilot to fly it in order to win a new citation, so it shouldn’t be that difficult to find some battles to fly and help out your squadron!

EH/TC News and Information:

Ø The Prelude to Andevia has started. It is open to ALL members of the Emperor's Hammer, regardless of subgroup, rank or position. It features flying, design, fiction and other events. The competition website is available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/comps/prelude/.
Ø The FCHG Contest #2 is now officially over. The following battles have been released and here are the winning submissions:

Ø SA Kawolski has resigned as XO of the EH and is officially retiring as well. You will be missed K, enjoy your retirement! SA Astatine has been selected to be the new XO!!
Ø For the benefit of those that didn't bother reading my last report, there is currently a ban on ALL new clones within the TIE Corps (this won't affect any existing clones). This also serves as a timely reminder that clones must be registered with the Flight Office. If you do have a clone and are unsure as to whether or not it's been registered, then just send me an email with all the relevant details (clone information will be kept confidential if desired). Remember that illegal clones are treated as AoW violations.
Ø New TCS and TCT sought for XvT. The Tactical Office is looking for additional playtesters and correctors for XvT and BoP. Please check the Tactical Manual for the job's description, and send your applications to TCC:XvT Drako and TCHC Marcin Szydlowski..
Ø Don’t skip missions in any battles from this point on, unless there is a fatal bug that prevents you from completing the mission. However, all bugs must be reported on the TIE Corps Battle Center without fail, or the pilot file will be rejected.


Squadron Commander’s Orders:

Ø All pilots must try to attend the weekly Wing XIV meeting on mIRC channel #wingxiv at 1500 HRS EST.
Ø All pilots are required to dress in the new Standard Duty Uniform during duty hours, and acquire the new Ceremonial Dress Uniform for special occasions. If you are unable to create your own uniform contact LC Striker ASAP and he will make you a new uniform.
