ODIN SQUADRON WSR #20

Welcome to my second report! I hope it is better than the first one. Here's the third chapter of Odin's Run on by LT Shai. Enjoy!

FM Faliaj "Shai" Shai was new to Odin squadron, but nonetheless, was impressed. Although he arrived on the ISD Grey Wolf after Odin squadron had launched for its latest mission, he was still getting quite a show.
About 2 hours after the shuttle had dropped him off on the great ship and left, the Star Destroyer had come under attack by several Rebel capital ships, including the infamous Mon Cal cruiser "Home One" The battle had been raging on for the last 2 hours, with both sides retreating and attacking several times.
The Rebel force included 2 Corellian Corvettes, one Nebulon B Frigate, and of course, the Home One. Over the course of the battle, one of the corvettes and the frigate had been destroyed, and the second corvette disabled. This left just Grey Wolf and HomeOne to slug it out. Shai shuddered. He hated slugging matches. As soon as rebel ships had arrived, Shai was immediately given a TIE Advanced (His, from Odin Squadron) and was ordered to defend the ISD and destroy as many Rebel ships as possible. So far, he was going good. Three X-Wings destroyed with minimal damage to his own TIE.
For some strange reason, all the Rebel ships had been painted black, and in addition, there was some strange jamming that was actually disrupting his targeting computer. It was all puzzling. Shai hadn't been briefed on Grey Wolfs Current Mission, and therefore, was more than a bit confused. This must be big... s thought Shai, the Rebels wouldn't waste ships like this for an attack like this...
Shai visually surveyed the Mon Calamari Cruiser. She was heavily damaged, and flames were shooting from several holes in her hull. Even one of the ships wings had been torn off. Even at this distance, Shai could tell Home One was gaining speed. Must be retreating. Shai thought to himself. Its about time... the Rebels should have pulled out as soon as they lost their first two ships...
As the Cruiser entered hyperspace, his targeting computer came back online. He cycled through various fighters in the system until he come to the ISD herself. The computer readout showed very little damage actually, which just served to impress him even more. Not many Star Destroyers could destroy ships, disable one and force the third to retreat, and come out of the battle with minimal damage... Shai keyed his Com Unit. "Odin 6, requesting permission to land." The great ship responded imidiatly."Grey Wolf to Odin 6, permission granted, main docking bay. Nicework." "Thank you control, acknowledged. Odin 6 out."
After his TIE Advanced was properly docked and mounted in the launch racks, Shai noticed an officer headed towards him. Uh oh... thought Shai. The officer reached him. "FM Faliaj Shai? I have a bit of bad news for you. Odin squadron seems to have come under attack by Rebel forces. No losses yet, but they are sustaining some damage. Rebel ships have been reduced by half though. We're expecting them back within the hour. When they return, You'll have the chance to meet your new squadron mates." "Thank you sir." Replied Shai "Boy, they must be pretty hot pilots..." "Oh, they are." the officer replied, and with a salute, turned and left.
Shai looked at the datapad the officer had given him. Quarters. Ohboy... I wonder what kind of booby traps these guys have set for me... He thought. Setting himself, he picked up his small bag of belongings and left the hanger, and headed for his quarters.

I apologize if there was bad grammar or some weird things in Shai's fiction, I had trouble transferring the document.

1. Competition starting Saturday for Odin only. Any and all pilots who can get more fchg gain than me in one week will receive an IS-BW. Good luck all, the comp starts on Saturday!
2. Don't forget about multiplayer guys, I want to see a lot more MP in Odin soon!

Ace of the Week: It was really close this week, we had more activity than usual this week and I hope this is how it is to stay. LCM Andrew is the winner, Shai and Dirk were about tied, so I am interested to see who will have it next week!

[CMDR'S THOUGHTS]
I am pleased with activity this week, but I feel that we need to make the squadron stronger, I want every pilot to attempt to get a pilot in here. Email cadets, reservists, hang out on the Zone, ask friends neighbors and relatives. Good Luck! Other than that, a productive week and get ready for the FCHG Competition starting Saturday!
