Welcome all to the 6th instalment of the Flayer Squadron WSR. I know, it's late, but at least I'm fashionably late..
I've heard from almost all of you so far, so that's good, but I would like to hear from the last couple of you - you know who you are :P
Squadron News:
- Raise the Flag scores were released last week - as I thought, we didn't win, but we did wind up in 2nd. Tempest took it with 555 points with us in second at 291. Daxy, Ard and myself all chipped in, with Ard winning the IWATS section of the competition with 4 courses completed.
- I got swamped with work, school and health this last week so I didn't get around to picking and sorting out the FLs, but it's on my list of things to do on my first day off - Monday.
- Golden Tug Awards are on. Rules have been tweaked slightly in that you now have to have flown the battles that you wish to vote upon. Fly them and vote on them. The full list is here: http://eh.stryfe.net/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=860 I will be focusing on flying as many as possible, and I think this is a great opportunity for our Squadron to make our presence felt – I’d love to see citations in most, if not all, the nominated battles.

- We didn't pick up any citations this week, based on the fact that we didn't get any flying in, myself included. Let's see if we can get a few more this week - focus on XvT-TC 15, 16, 17.
- The two Flayer competitions ended without any submissions unfortunately. This means we are looking at some new, embarrasing nicknames. Unless I decide to be gentle.

- TACcy Quotes
- Read the TAC's latest report and email her first with the correct answer to which movie is quoted. IS-BR for 1st. If you win 3 times, you get an IS-GR
- TACcy Speed Test
- Read the TAC's latest report and fly the free mission and aim for the fastest time possible on the mission. Fastest time earns IS-SW. If you beat the TAC's score you win an IS-BW. IMPORTANT - DO NOT SUBMIT TO ME FOR PROCESSING! Send to TAC directly (dempsey@slayersrealm.com)
- SP Ace of the TIE Corps, June 2009
- Fly the most missions to win the title. First gets title and IS-GW; Second gets IS-SW and third gets IS-BW; All earn much love from me if you're in this squadron :P

Miscellaneous:
- I really love seeing pilots on IRC as it’s a very easy way to get in touch with everyone and also lets us build some squadron/ship camaraderie. For those of you unfamiliar with IRC, this is a perfect opportunity to take some SIMPLE IWATS courses (m/IRC 1 and 2) and learn how to use the programs. The main channels you should be familiar with are #emperor’s_hammer, #tiecorps and #ISD_Subjugator on the Undernet servers. I’m in all three quite frequently under Zoron or LCZoron. Feel free to hang out and chat at any time.
- IWATS courses are coming back up - take a look over there and take a few that you haven't yet. I've taken a handful already and had fun (and learned a few things) and they don't take a ton of time (well, except SM/4 :P) http://iwats.isdchallenge.org/
- Blue Jays just SPANKED Zach Greinke, reminding him that he won't win the Cy Young this year - that'll be Doc Halladay who should, rightfully so. Probably should have taken it last year too, but voters are stupid and only look at total wins, not performance.
