Wing News:

Discussion is ongoing about the possible conversion of the Relentless to an XWA ship. If that goes ahead, X-wing Alliance would become our official platform for competition anyone who doesn't have XWA would be expected to either upgrade or transfer to another ship. The arguments pro and con are many and various, use the Wing IX mailgroup or message boards to make your opinion known, this affects your future in the corps.

Squad News:

We have a new flight member as you know, SL Renoshi Bespin joined us from PLT Daedalus, survived transit and the confusion caused by his initial immersion in a tank full of live frogs and alchohol. Judging from his level of activity and e-mail response time so far, Renoshi may well beat the more experienced officers to the flight leader's position. :P (take that as a challenge)

Our highlander competition round one match against Iota Squadron is concluded and we're waiting for official results. I'm not impressed with the turnout guys, only CM Powerslave and myself flew, it'll take a quite spectacular failure from Iota to let us through to round two. This comp was priority Alpha-One, wing wide-compulsory meaning I can remove anyone who didn't participate or send me a darned good excuse BEFORE the deadline.

Again only CM Powerslave and I have flown the battles I assigned to drive for more citations, this is disappointing but not career threatening. I'm assigning new battles for myself, powerslave and renoshi - see squad orders for a reminder of your assignment.

On a brighter note, it's MSE time again folks!, your chance to redeem yourself by mailing me just a paragraph assessing your performance this month and promising to do better next month. :P
I need these in by the end of the month, that's over 72 hours away, should be plenty of time.

My attempt to remove the old squadron motto has been rejected by the flight office, apparently we have to have a motto. This is where you come in again send me something apt and inspirational, a nice starting point that the WC pointed out to me is the fact that we're an assult squadron (offensive, in the heaviest possible way) with a defensive squad name, get any cogs turning?
