-CPT Gidda on IRC, commenting on the recent number of Rebels defecting to the Empire on Star Wars books

SQUADRON NEWS:

-SA Kawolsky, the man who made the EH into what it is today, the maker of the personnel database, the guy who held the helm of the TC when it was at its worst and made it rise out of the ashes, and the guy who rose up the Tactical Office, is fully retiring from the EH. Kawolsky probably doesn't mean much to you, but he was FO back when I joined, helped me in my training, and it was thanx to my talks with him that we managed to get Tie Phantoms to our squadron. It's sad to see him leave, but everyone's got to go sometime, and we just have to accept that :(
-MAJ Roguewing won another FCHG comp. Although I don't like most of his missions, he has proven once again to be one of the most effective mission designers of the fleet, and our wing is more than proud to have him aboard.
-Daleth squadron massacred: We beated Daleth squadron, who didn't provide much of a challenge. Here are the results:

Top Gun: LCM Deimos

I like to see this has a practice before we go to the real thing (against Immortal squadrons). You've all done well with a 100% activity. About Daleth's lack of opposition, well... that's what happens when you're not in the Battlegroups (Mell: Wheeeeee! :) )
-Stay cool: I won't be challenging any other squadron till at least February. All that time doing nothing is for those who working on the website to have some free time, and makes us ready in case any of the other Wing III squadrons decides to avenge their comrades :P
-ISD Immortal attacked: a jerk sent a message with a virus attached to our ship's mail group. I hope no one was infected, and everyone learned what do to when they get strange mails. If you were infected, go to http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.magistr.24876@mm.html
-New FL: LCM Nuno has been promoted to FL. Congratulations, Nuno. Drinks on you :)

SQUADRON STATUS:

-Keep working on your website proposal. When you're done, zip all relevant files and send them to me and Spearhawk (leonlj@telia.com).
-If we can get 100% activity on squadron comps, why can't we get more citations, hey? :P Fly battles!
-Mark still holds the Ace title, but for how long? Challenge him if you want to take the title.

Another thing, XWA-Free 18 was a mission which I studied carefully. The only way you could have gotten a score that low was by quitting the mission when the mission objectives were complete. You should NEVER leave the battlefield before all targets are destroyed, there is still some extra score out there :P . Also, if you ever need any help, any help at all with your flying, feel free to use this mail group.
