Psi Report # 0 (2002-02-12)

This report was submitted by MAJ Jon Doyle

Well it's been a busy week and it looks like being a longer week yet. Much has been done and much more to do.

Well I learnt a lesson in being clever, it doesn't pay :p

Squadron news.

Well To clear up the mess I left on the 7th here is a full rundown of the Psi vs. delta Competition.
First things first congratulations to all that participated, especially the 4 top-guns, it turned out to be fairly close but one sided battle in the end.

The First week ended with Us having 100% participation

LCM Cahir:72,132
CPT Koriel:68,907
MAJ Jon Doyle: 65,704
Carl Lost: 63,069
LCM Dash Riprock: 60,996
COL Calezo Inkwolf: 45,056
LCM Nergal: 35,541

CM Gyssler with 64048
CM Ras Kronar with 65515
CM Anthony Starr with 43641

So Cahir and Koriel went through to the second round and scored fairly impressively to beat the 2 delta topguns

The final scores were

Psi Squadron:
Total HAK score : 153294

Delta Squadron
Total HAK Score : 132741

Good work Guys :)

and to top it all off LCM Cahir was awarded the IS-BW for his combined total score which was only 2K about that of Koriel. With those 2 pilot's having the highest combined totals for the 2 weeks.

Today marks a special day for Psi Squadron. It is the 3 rd anniversary of the re-activation of Psi squadron. To celebrate there will be a big Psi style party. To include the dancing girls, Beer and BBQ ewoks with Psi brand BBQ sauce :)

I'm also dedicating the next 2 weeks to be anniversary bash. This is a 3 round competition between all the Psi members.

The rounds are Flying
Triva (millionaire style)
and a Web Hunt.

The competition will run for 2 weeks starting today. everything to do with this competition involves either 3 or 12 in someway. Most of it is also based around Psi squadron and Wing II

I'll now explain each round in more depth.

Flying: This will consist of 2 missions. FT3 and FT 12. All competing pilots will be awarded points depending on how well the do within the squad. 1 for first place and 7 for last. Non flying pilots will be awarded 8 points.

Trivia: Each day I will issue a question. there are 3 possible answers. you have until the same time the following day to reply to me with the correct answer. If you get the question wrong or don't answer you will not get the following days Question. (make sure you reply to my Yahoo Mail address as any sent to my seed account won't be counted.)
Again scoring is based on how well you do. 12 points for not answering any questions to 1 point for answering all correctly.

Finally the Web hunt.
you will need to find a URL will a picture of the following and send me all your URL's for verification. again points will be awarded for how well you do. 1 point for finding everything 12 points for not finding anything.

1 Mini Ford
1 SSSD
1 T/A
1 Scorpion
1 (Pink) Bunny if you find a pink 1 you get double points
1 Fluffy the Lemming
1 heavy rocket(s)
1 Ewok (preferably BBQ'ed)
1 Little red Roosta (an interrogation driod)
1 Yo-Yo of Terror (Psyko)
1 Dark Jedi Knight
1 Hutt (not Jabba)

So get out there and start looking.

The person at the end of 2 weeks with the lowest point score will be awarded a medal... of some kind. As soon as the TO can work out what I can award for a flying and non-flying competition.

Ok that's rather allot to take in at once but mail me if you have any problems.

First Trivia question will be asked on Friday.

Still looking for a Flight leader. If you happen across any LT's that might be good for the job show em round... But don't try to recruit them, State there is a FL spot and the CMDR is accepting applications, here is our great Squad web page etc.
So far only 1 squad member has expressed intressed so If I don't hear otherwise he will get the position next week.

Wing News.

Prelude to andieva Continues, I haven't heard anyone starting on the fiction stage set last week....

Fleet News

Avenger Task Force & Dark Brotherhood Membership
03:50 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
There's been a lot of speculation and questions over the ATF & DB rule recently, and after discussing it with several people, I've decided to modify and clarify it for everyone's benefit:

- Flight Members and Flight Leaders in the ATF are NOT required to join the Dark Brotherhood, but are highly encouraged to do so. Of course, it will ultimately be the choice of the individual pilot if he or she wishes to join.

- Squadron Commanders and above in the ATF MUST be members of the DB and hold the rank of Acolyte or higher.

Hope this settles things.

TCCOM Award
05:19 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Congratulations to Colonel Reaper and the pilots of Wing IV on the SSSD Sovereign, who have been awarded the TIE Corps Commander's Award for the month of January.

New ChalCOM
05:17 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Congratulations to Rear Admiral Locke who has been chosen as the new Commodore of the ISD Challenge. Locke is a long time member of the ship and myself and BGCOM Mell are confident that he can bring the ship back up to rival it's former glory days...congrats!

High scores
09:36 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Numerous high scores have been wiped in the past week due to some cheating cases resolved, mainly concerning XWA battles (and some XvT BoP as well). You may want to check if some of your old files may have a high score on those. If so, just submit it again to your commanding officer.

Wing Commander Appointment
09:35 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Following the resignation of Major Lusankya earlier this week, a new Wing Commander for Wing XX has been promptly selected. Congratulations go out to General Smitrock, who takes this position for the second time.

Intrepid COM Promoted
13:22 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
Following several months of hard work and dedicated service as Commodore of the ISD Intrepid, many congratulations to Rear Admiral Brakka who has been promoted to Vice Admiral!
