Wing News.

The wing is down to it's lowest number of pilots in a long time. Let's get recruiting ppl.

Following Stele's Lead I think I'm going to break Prelude to andievia down into bits. Carl is the only person that has flown or done anything for this competition in this squad.

The Emperor's Hammer routinely sends out scout and expeditionary forces to new worlds beyond its own borders. The reasons for these forces vary. Sometimes they are to evaluate a world for its mineral wealth, other times for its strategic importance.
Expeditionary Force Alpha-Nine-Four (EF-A94) is one of these forces, based upon the planet of Andevia. Andevia is a relatively primitive planet, with rolling hills and vast plains untouched by industrialisation or technology. The native sentient population are a nomadic species, tribal in organisation. It is said their Shamans possess great powers...
EF-A94 has always sent its reports on time. Until recently that is. A few weeks ago, a Rebel fleet exited hyperspace near Andevia's system and started taking an interest in Andevia itself. At the same time, the commander of EF-A94 reported doubt about the loyalty and motives of the other team members.
The EF-A94 team contained talented and skilled members from all branches of the Emperor's Hammer, so their disappearance comes as a shock. It is also worrying. The Emperor's Hammer will be assembling a strike force to go to Andevia. This force will find out exactly what happened to EF-A94.
But first, we must prepare. We must train. We must find the best of the best to lead the strike force.

The assignment for this week will be to write a story based upon the plot so far. So basically you will be extending the intro I've just given you, and will:
Length/Format; At least five (5) pages of single-line text in 10-point Times New Roman or similar font. Submissions can be in Rich Text Format (RTF), Word 6.0, Word 95 or Word 97 format. No text or Word 2000 submissions.

Overview: Write a story based upon the plot thus far, detailing the actual mission at Andevia. This may include the trip to the planet, initial arrival, space confrontation, landings, land confrontation or any other related scenario you can come up with.

Don't worry if you don't feel your English is up to much, Team up with another member of the squad and write up your combined ideas.

The Ratpack returns competition, with the ratpack against the CMDR's of wing II ended in narrow loss for the CMDR's with yours truly setting a high target on his own. Results follow:

The Ratpack
COL Reaper (Wing IV) - 149,080
VA Proton (Sov COM) - 70,023
COL Sickman (Wing V) - 52793
Total: 271896

Wing II Commanders
MAJ Jon (Psi) - 159902
Total: 159902

Congrats to MAJ Mickk who has been in the TC for 2 years, go shine that OV-2E Mickk :)

Requirements for Chancellor of the Senate posted
10:16 - SA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au]
Requirements for the recently vacated position of Senate Chancellor have been posted on the EH domain. They are also listed below:

Overview
The position of Chancellor of the Senate (CHS) will offer a unique challenge to applicants. The Senate, as many of its members know, is in trouble and it will take a supremely skilled leader to lead the subgroup out of the wilderness. Applicants must address the following criteria:

Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Proven command experience, at a level of TIE Corps Wing Commander or equivalent.
2. An acceptable level of online presence.
3. Fast email response time.
4. A clean record.
5. The ability to work with a range of EH personnel.
6. A plan for fixing the Senate.

Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Member of the Senate.
2. Proven track record in improving a sector of the EH or a subgroup.

You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simple saying "Yep, I can do that" won't be enough. You must also include three references - including at least one superior. These references will be checked. Applications are to be directed to the Fleet Commander (GA Ronin) and Executive Officer (SA Astatine) with the subject "Application for the position of Chancellor".

Testers needed for XvT/BoP
14:59 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
the Tactical Office is in dire need of new play testers for XvT/BoP. If you're willing to give a hand, email Vice Admiral Marcin Szydlowski, and read the Tactical Manual for a more detailed description of the job.

Tactical Office Beta List
15:13 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
It has been posted on the Mission Creation Board....

Email Change
11:41 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
The ASF Battlegroup Commander, Admiral Cyric, has change his email address to eh.cyric@verizon.net.

January Week of War Results
23:59 - RA Brucmack [bjmacken@engmail.uwaterloo.ca]
Week of War results for January have been processed. If you don't get LoCs that you deserve, it probably means that I couldn't find a TC pin for you... meaning that neither your name nor email address turned up results in the profile search utility. If so, mail me your pin :)

In any case, we showed strongly in the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter competition, and not-so-strongly in the X-Wing Alliace one. In XvT we placed fifth as a club, and in XWA we placed seventeenth.

As per the new COO WoW award competition, the following people will be awarded Iron Stars:

For XvT:
IS-GW: Verr
IS-SW: Blackhero
IS-BW: Kaerner

For XWA:
IS-BW: Zoron

Congratulations to all winners, your awards are in the mail! For details on how these medals are awarded, click here for its ImperialAcademy.org competition profile.

TAC is back
09:32 - FA Striker [striker@tiecorps.org]
Looks like all systems are operational again... expect BSFs to be processed over the week-end.

3. An acceptable level of presence in online media (such as IRC, message boards)
4. Fast email response time.
5. A clean record in conduct.
6. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Executive Office, Flight Officer, Operations Officer and various officers within the TIE Corps and subgroups.

Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. Graphics ability.
2. ASP coding experience.
3. Solid training experience, either within the EH or in real life.

You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. You may also include three references - including at least one of your superiors (either form or current, preferably current). These references will be checked. Applications should be sent to the Fleet Commander (GARonin@aol.com) and Executive Officer (jpboyce@indigo.net.au) with the subject "Application for the position of Training Officer".
