CMDR’s Thoughts:
Congratulations to John Clark on his promotion to Lieutenant Commander! It is a well deserved promotion for a great pilot!!
I’m still disappointed in the activity the rest of the squadron. LT Haztix Vel has been on leave, and only LCM John Clark and I have shown any flight activity. That is why I am conducting a squadron AWOL check effective immediately!
AWOL Check:
All pilots of Asp Squadron will report in ASAP! Any pilot that fails to report in by 2/1/02 will be removed on 2/2/02.
Prelude to Andevia:

Asp Squadron TOP ACE Competition:
We had a total of 2 submissions for the XWA-TC #16 Battle for this past week. I’d really like to see some improvement folks; this is for your benefit not mine. Remember MP wins count for a point each as well, so if you get out there and win some matches, aside from the wonderful LoC to add to your uniforms, you’ll also get a Kill point on the Battle Board!
The winner for the past weeks Kill point in the SP arena is LCM John Clark! Congrats John, you narrowing squeaked past me on this round. J
Multi-Player Competitions:
Just a reminder to everyone that the TC sponsors a number of MP comps each week where you can win some cool LoC’s, as well as additional points for your FCHG rank! I encourage everyone in Asp to try to take part in at least one comp each week. Show your support for Asp, Wing XIV, and the TC and participate! After all, if this rusty CMDR can win a LoC, anyone can. LOL
Recruiting:
As CMDR I am responsible for the maintaining of the squadron. However, it is not the sole duty of the CMDR to recruit new pilots into the squadron. I suggest that everyone take some time in the next week to see about assisting one of the many recruits on the M/PLT Daedaleus. Remember, we can offer to assist CT’s, but no offers of direct recruitment are allowed unless the CT requests additional information about possibly joining our squadron or wing.
Battle Citations:
We’re still sitting with 11 Battle Citations. Come on folks, lets get busy and get more. There is at least 21 we can have if everyone flies the XvT battles, let alone the extras for the XWA battles as well. J

Ø All pilots are required to dress in the new Standard Duty Uniform during duty hours, and acquire the new Ceremonial Dress Uniform for special occasions. If you are unable to create your own uniform contact LC Striker ASAP and he will make you a new uniform.
