Sorrow in Kappa grows as we still have received no word from Roasty.

So, here's another report from your A-CMDR. Not half as witty and
motivating as Roasty could do it, but as always I'll do my very best.
Squadron News

- More bad news: This week saw the end of Sigma squadron, which was
dissolved due to lack of pilots. :(
- New Theta CMDR is CM Jack Stone! Congrats, and long may he
reign...erm...fly...erm...drink...well, whatever you are planning,
Jack! :P
- Good news: medals! And plenty of them, too. Ninj got a Legion of
Combat! I don't know when exactly, cos I'm not notified of such
things, I only saw it from the Wing report :P
Congrats anyways, well done! :)
The Commendation of Loyality has been awarded to Hermann (for his
work in the DB), Algaron and me (both for work in the TC)! Apart
from Kappa, the CoL has also been awarded to Carl and last but not
least the Frodman himself! Congratulations everyone!
I furthermore got a BS from the RO for my work in the ISC and a SS
from the OPS for TTT.

- Right, Tempest's Tailoring Tool is out. Put on the Kappa pages by
Algaron on friday, on saturday noon the maximum bandwidth for a day was
already exceeded. :P

- Sovereign banner design contest still running! Here once more the
datails:
"Two categories:
Splash banner: 640x480 maximum size, gif or jpg format.
Link banner: 475x75 maximum size, gif or jpg format.
Awards: IS-GR, SR, BR in each category.
These banners are to be used on the Sovereign Web site and other
sites as graphic representations of the SSSD Sovereign. All
suitable entries will be posted in the Sovereign Art Gallery."

- Prelude to Andevia is a fleet-wide competition brought to us by SA
Astatine. It features every kind of competition you can think of:
Flying in both SP and ladder, fiction writing, mission cration,
graphics, and more. For full description go here:

Most interesting for us might be the TIE battle; it's TIE-FCHG 2 and
must be flown until the end of February, when all events of this
huge competition will end.
Note that there are special instructions for submitting pilot files:
"Submissions are to be mailed to the Tactical and Training Officers
at striker@tiecorps.org and jpboyce@indigo.net.au The submission
must have the email subject Prelude to Andevia Competition - TIE
Battle Submission. In addition, your submission must be zipped.
Zipping your submission means I don't get pissed off from
downloading bloated submissions. Also include your full ID line.
Submissions without the correct subject or your ID line will be
deleted. Only one pilot file per submission."

For the benefit of those that didn't bother reading my last report,
there is currently a ban on ALL new clones within the TIE Corps
(this won't affect any existing clones). This also serves as a
timely reminder that clones must be registered with the Flight
Office. If you do have a clone and are unsure as to whether or not
it's been registered, then just send me an email with all the
relevant details (clone information will be kept confidential if
desired).
Remember that illegal clones are treated as AoW violations.

- FCHG Contest #2 Results

Happy Birthday Emperor's Hammer, and here are some new FCHG Battles
for your glory ! The second edition of the FCHG Mission Creation
Contest is now over, with the results hereby released; the winning
submissions which become new official FCHG Battles are:

TIE-FCHG Battle 5: Attack from Within, by LCM Dujhod (awarded IS-SR)

Thanks to these who took the time to enter the competition, the
winning submissions are once more of greater quality. The only
disappointement is the low participation compared to the first
edition, though more time was given and more advertisement was made.
I guess December is not an as good as time for activty than during
summer, but I can't change the date of the EH's Birthday ;) The next
edition will take place during July, results to be released for the
FC's Birthday. Rating of the submissions was made prior any
correction, TIE and XWA submissions were reviewed and corrected by
TAC/FA Striker, XvT ones by CA:TAC/VA Marcin Szydlowski, and no tug
was harmed during the testing. See you next summer for the third
edition of the competition !
