Asp Squadron Commander’s Report 03.02.02
CMDR’s Thoughts:
I want to impress upon everyone the importance of maintaining a regular activity cycle. Without any form of activity on a consistent basis I will be unable to persuade the WC and/or COM of the validity of promotion or medal requests. LCM John Clark has been the only pilot to demonstrate a regular weekly level of activity, and I happen to know first hand that he also does this in other Sub-Groups as well, while still finding time for his RL matters. Our newest pilot, LT Gistenjunge has shown great activity since he joined, and I am hopeful that this level of activity from him will continue as well. In the meantime the rest of the Squadron has failed to report in or show any activity whatsoever in the past two or three weeks. This will no longer be tolerated, and if you are unable to maintain communication and activity then you will be asked to leave Asp Squadron. You aren’t doing yourselves or your fellow pilots any favors by just sitting idle and keeping the entire Squadron inactive. In one week I will be conducting an AWOL Check. At this present time I can be assured that aside from the CMDR, there are two pilots that will most definitely be reporting in. I’m curious to see if anyone is interested in proving me wrong before then. :P
Gistenjunge has been promoted to Lieutenant this week! He entered the Aggressor Task Force Competition and won his first MP match, thereby securing himself a promotion!! Way to go Gistenjunge, keep up the great work!!!!
Communication has slumped big time in recent weeks. Therefore the following policy is set forth starting now, each week every pilot in Asp Squadron will report in by Thursday without fail. Any pilot that fails to report in will have this noted in the weekly report. The fourth time in a row that this happens the pilot will be AWOL’d immediately and removed from the TIE Corps. Which means that you will have to start all over again through M/PLT Daedaleus and at the rank of CT. Do yourselves a favor, take a minute or two and send me an update each week.
Yes, as you can see I’m pretty tired of the lack of activity in Asp. And changes are being made to ensure that this will not continue. Therefore anyone that feels they will be unable to be active or be involved is encouraged now to seek a transfer elsewhere in the Fleet where they don’t mind laziness, or to the Reserves where you can sit idle until such time as you feel ready to be active again. But under no circumstances will anyone be allowed to sit idle each month in this Squadron from now on.

Asp Squadron TOP ACE Competition:
Well, it looks LC Wil Striker like gets the SP Kill point this week, and was the overall winner for February! Come on people, you can’t let the CMDR be the winner three months in a row can you? Lets get busy and show me that someone else is capable of winning the comp for March!!
I’m glad to see more participation in the TOP ACE Comp now. SL Gistenjunge has not only flown this previous weeks mission, but he also scored a Kill Point as well for winning a MP match in the Aggressor Strike Force Competition. This is exactly what I meant by having the opportunity to earn more points for this competition by winning matches in the competitions, sure seems like a far more effective means to win them than by hoping you’ll have the higher score for a single mission. :P

Multi-Player Competitions:
The Wing Commander is seeking the assistance of Asp Squadron to help motivate other pilots into flying in MP engagements. I see no problem with this, especially since we ARE a MP squadron, so lets get to it and start making a showing at the weekly competitions people!
Recruiting:
Two new recruits, many to go. Lets get busy and find some new pilots Asp!!
Battle Citations:
We’re still sitting with only 5 Battle Citations. This is unacceptable, and I expect to see more involvement from the entire Squadron from now on.
Promotions/Awards:
Ø SL Gistenjunge was awarded an LoC for winning a match in the Aggressor Strike Force Competition! Way to go Gist!!
Ø SL Gistenjunge has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant! Congrats Gist!!

Wing/Ship News:
Ø Still waiting on CM Frodo to give the Wing XIV Webpage Council some instructions for creating a new website for the Wing.
Ø Overall Wing numbers are still low. It is crucial that all members of Wing XIV become involved in recruiting!
Ø More pilots in Wing XIV need to be involved in the weekly scheduled MP Competitions. Wing XIV has its regular MP pilots that show, but new faces are strongly encouraged!
EH/TC News and Information:
Ø For many of the upcoming conventions taking place because of Episode II, I thought that I would open a new competition for all the members of the Emperor's Hammer. In this, I would like members to come up with a design for a EH jacket pin. It can be any design you want.

Ø With the creation of the Conventions Commission (CC) I was thinking it would be good to have a official banner as well as splash banner for aofficial site which is in the making. The banner should be the normal size (400x40 pixels). The banner can be any size you want to make it, but please keep in mind that it that it will be on the page page of the CC homepage.

Ø Thanks to the hard work of Rear Admiral Grail SoulChaser, the Tactical Staff has now a fully functional database, with beta battles and beta testers, at http://www.isdchallenge.org/tacDB. You can access there the listing of battles in the hands of the Tactical Staff, with their current status, beta reports etc. Right now, most of the staff need to be added, and battles status are not yet accurate. Please give us some time so we can be able to use fully this wonderful new tool.
