/me is happy.
Christmas Eve is almost there, we have wonderful Christmas weather
here (/me is wading knee-deep in snow :P), and I just saw the LOTR
movie. However, I know that not all of you are so lucky. I especially
think of Hermann and Roasty, who are in deep trouble these days. Let's
all hope that things in Argentina will be normalized soon.
I think it would be best if I'd consider myself A-CMDR until Roasty
sends an official "I'm back"-message, for I didn't hear anything from
him recently. If anyone objects, please let me know (Roasty? Ford?
Algy?).
Despite of all these troubles, I wish you all a happy and peaceful
Christmas.
And now to the news.
Squadron News

- Both Astarosta and Hermann are practically on leave for reasons you
all know. Hermann, please inform me of your status! If you are on
leave (what I expect), please activate leave status on your profile
if you have occasion to. Good luck for you two, I hope you'll be
fine and back again soon!
- W2PL has ended, and Kappa got some fine resluts! Best of the best is
our Roastaman, who actually succeeded in winning the overall
competition (position one in first division), had the highest laser
accuracy and is therefore sharp shooter, and last but not least he
fried the most rebels of all, therefore he's also kill leader!
W00t for the Roastaman! You rock! :P
As soon as we've all recovered from all the beer Roasty has to pay
for this, next round is on myself, for I could hold my third
position in division 1, and it fills me with great pride to be third
of the wing after such great pilots as Astarosta and John Doe.
And still the celebration isn't over! Algaron got 7th in the first
division, Hermann got second in division 2, and Zyrax managed to win
in the third division!
Congratulations to you all!
I think we can really be proud of ourselves. A look on the W2PL
final results page shows clearly how strongly we have influenced the
competition in this season. Both first and third division winners
are from Kappa. In Squadron Average Score we have an excellent
second place after the fabulous sinners. Astarosta is kill leader,
with two more Kappans (me and Zyrax) following in third and fifth
place. We TOTALLY dominate the sharp shooter table, showing the wing
where the marksmen are! :P
The first four are from Kappa: Roasty, me, Hermann and Zyrax!
Fox One was won by Nergal, but look at the bunch of Kappans directly
at his heels! Astarosta, Zyrax, me and Algaron!

- Sov Mascot Power Battles phase 4, TIE mission design, is over, with
good results for our wing. Fred and Fatboy were 2nd, Stark and Stele
Pellaeon 3rd and Akira 6th.
- For those who didn't notice yet, we have a new mailing group, which
is faster and more comfortable (at least that's what I was told :P).
Therefore mails for the whole Wing now don't go to
wingii@yahoogroups.com any longer, but to wing2@phpcoding.org
