TARTARUS SQUADRON
WING XIII of ISD GREY WOLF
WEEKLY SQUADRON REPORT
NR.11
by CMDR/CM DarkC

Well guys, this will probably be a shorter report .As everyone is aware of,this was probably the sadest and the most socking week ever.
We've all witnessed the most cruel and incredible acts of terorism against the US. Thousends of innocent people were killed or injured
.I,personally never believed that a thing like this could ever happen to the most powerfull state in the world. But unfortunatelly it did,and noone
could do anything but watch.I kept on seing those images on my TV and each time i had tears in my eyes. I was always against any kind of
violence, but eventualy i got to understand wars...somehow they made the world go on,but killing innocent people...this is something i will never be
able to understand. This wasn't only a terorist atack...it was an attack against democracy and human kind. There is not much that we can do
now, hopefully those in charge will find the wright ways to get this whole thing punished as it should. The only thing we can do is think of all those
people that have been hurt and make a prayer for those who died, hopping that noone will ever let this happen again.
I'm sorry if i can't find the right words, but i'm really still shocked and i also know that words can't do much good...someone has to take some
action.

Anyway,i'll try to get back to my report...it's been a good week for the squadron, even though i really think that we can and we should do much
more.Hopefully when this week will be over, and everyone will try to go on with his life, things will go better.

RECRUITMENT

As even our dear WC said we're doing great even with 8 pilots and we are able to keep this squadron on top even as it is,but considerring the
points recruitment could bring us in this competition,i think it's worth making it a priority again. However, keep this in mind...we only need top
pilots, not inactive ones. This second category will only stay in our way:) So keep your eyes opened for any good pilot that might join our
squadron.

NEWS

1. Not too many news this week that i can think of...unfortunatelly there have been too many bad news lately.
2.This is the end of the second week of the ASF Supremacy Competition III. As far as i know, Grey Wolf is in the lead:) Also, sorry if i'm
mistaking, but from what i know, our squadron is the third ,following the Crusader and Odin squadrons. Well....this is good, but it can be better! I
don't think this position coresponds exactly with our goal and our dream...what do you think? Take some action guys!!!:)
3. The Emperor's Hammer is taking on the New Republic Navy! The competition is running through Battlestats using WoW rules.
From Sept 14 to Sept 21, all internal compeitions are hereby suspended, so that our multiplayer pilots may concentrate on the
comp against the navy. For more information, see the competition webpages.
Make note that most MP comps are suspended until this war is over, so I suggest that you get out and fly in this!!!

FICTION
Well guys, this week you will be able to enjoy some fiction wrote by our dear Jonathan:)
It’s a long way home
by LT Tk-7253

Darth Vader’s TIE advanced spun out of control. The Dark Lord Of The Sith was unaffected by his craft randomly turning and shooting into space at very high
speed. The only sound he made was a loud air in-take and out-take, the noise caused by his automatic breathing respirator which was slightly more regular than
usual.

Behind him Vader saw a large flash, followed closely by a huge shock wave, that only missed his ship by about three kilometres. The wave brought with it huge
chunks of metal debris, which started to float slowly after the forward thrust of the shock wave had passed. It did not take Lord Vader long to reach the conclusion
that the rebels had been successful in their last stand attack, the Death Star had been destroyed.

Slowly the TIE advanced began to stop spinning so violently and Vader was able to re-gain control of his craft. Looking at the in-ship computer chart Lord Vader
could see no near by imperial planets, this was not a huge shock because he was so near the rebel base planet of Yavin. The rebels would not be so stupid as to
establish a major military outpost any less than five hundred light years away from any imperial operations. Lord Vader scanned the map of the galaxy with his finger,
starting from where he was looking for a suitable planet to land on. “Kessel. A spice mine. No, Nal Hutta. Home planet of the Hutt’s. I think not, Bothawui. Home
planet of the Bothan’s a spy race sympathetic to the rebels. No good, Naboo. Home of the recently dismembered council of the old republic. They were not going to
be very helpful. Ah but wait Sullust, an imperial base in the outer rim.” Vader knew where he was going instantly, from Sullust he could radio for his flagship “The
Executor” a super class Star Destroyer to come pick him up and take him to Imperial Centre a.k.a Coruscant. The Emperor had re-named it when he chose it for the
capital. Vader always found the change to be in bad taste, but would never dare say so to the Emperor. It was actually quicker to go straight to Coruscant but it
would involve crossing a lot of rebel and pirate space on the way, as he was only in one damaged TIE Lord Vader found that move to be unwise.

Sullust was a good nine hundred light years away. In a normal TIE this journey would be impossible lucky for The Dark Lord Of The Sith his TIE advanced was in
fact a prototype for a new breed of TIE fighter code-named “The Defender”. It had many advantages over the standard TIE such as shields and a state of the art
hyperdrive system. Imperial scientists did not develop the hyperdrive, it was made by a private electronics company who were not keen to share their new
technology with the Empire, that is until Grand Admiral Thron paid their main factory platform a “visit” with half of his fleet. The hyperdrive would make the distance
about three day’s travel; Vader plotted a course and made the jump into hyperspace.

Lord Vader sat in the TIE advanced cockpit deep in thought; no navigation was required because of autopilot. Vader could not help but feel a certain amount of
satisfaction in the knowledge that the Death Star was now in millions of pieces spread across the galaxy. Such power would have indeed insured total and utter
victory for the Empire, but it would have removed the personal aspect of winning the war, just pushing a few buttons and “bang” the end of a rebel planet just seemed
all too easy to Lord Vader.

Although the commanders of the space station were important to the Empire, they governed and kept order on systems at the brink of revolution, they were not
irreplaceable. And on a personal note Vader considered them to be a group of bickering bureaucrats who considered their pitiful weapons like the Death Star more
powerful than the Force.

The only officer on that station who would be missed at leased in Vader’s eyes was Grand Moff Tarkin. Governor Tarkin was only a Governor by name, in reality he
was a ruthless and brilliant military commander. Vader admired his total lack of conscience when fighting the war for the Empire. Even Vader could hardly believe it
when Tarkin gave the order for the Death Star to destroy Aldaran, just to show the rest of the galaxy the new power of the Empire. Vader would have probably
given the order himself, but he would have given it a few moments thought before he signed the death warrant of hundreds of billions of people. Grand Moff Tarkin
did it in a second.

But Tarkin’s best feature: he was one of the few imperial officers that understood the Force, true he underestimated it from time to time, and he like all other imperial
officers favoured huge Star Destroyers and super weapons when fighting a battle. But he knew the force was there, and in Lord Vader’s opinion a respect for the
Force from an imperial officer was a very special thing indeed.

Unfortunately out of all the officers on the Death Star Governor Tarkin was the leased likely to have survived. Where as the rest of the Governors aboard will have
jumped into escape shuttles at the first sign of an X-Wing coming towards the station, Tarkin will have stayed to the bitter end with all the true officers, the military
officers. Tarkin had a “go down with the ship” attitude, a stupid but yet deeply brave and honourable quality that Lord Vader deeply admired.

But the thing most on Vader’s mind: “Who was in that last X-Wing?” Lord Vader had felt a strong emission of the Force coming from the pilot of that ship. It was
raw, who ever it was in there was not a Jedi. If he had been the pilot would have concentrated the Force to help him. “Perhaps it was just a man descended from a
Jedi? No the Force was too strong with him for that.” Maybe the Millennium Falcon had done Vader a favour in the long run – if it had not come to help, Vader
would have shot down the X-Wing and he would have never known. And a Person who was strong with the force but had not

learned how to use was worth ten Death Star’s. Because he could be turned to the Dark Side he could be a Sith. Vader would have to find out more about this pilot.

The computer “beeped” it was warning Lord Vader to come out of Light Speed into Normal Space, Lord Vader did so. The white lines turned into stars again, and
Lord Vader saw Sullust ahead, the planet was a huge volcano full of lava and hot gas, Vader could see the base from where he was. He operated the computer and
transmitted an imperial clearance code so the base’s P.D.S system would not vaporise him as soon as he got in range.

There was much to do, he had to make haste and get back to Coruscant…

THE END

POETRY
As everyone is mourning the victims of last week's terorist attack against US,i think we should do the same,so here is something i wrote and
dedicate to all the innocent victims of this tragedy.

"A moment of silence"
by CM DarkC

For those who went to work and didn't come back home,
For those who lost the faith to face tomorrow,
For those who starting from today are feeling more alone,
All our compassion and our sorrow,
But most important thing: THE POWER TO MOVE ON.
For all of those who took a plane to probly get back home
For all the victims of this stupid violence,
Just wanna let you know you're not alone,
Although unfortunately all that we can do is have
A MOMENT OF SILENCE.

COMMANDER'S OFFICE

Well guys, with everything that has been happening this week i'm sure everyone felt exactly the same i did and were less focused on the
squadron's activity which is understandable. But,as always, life has to go on.So please try and get back to your ships! Despite the fact that
basicaly i'm pleased with your activity, i still think that this squadron can do much more. And i hope that in these two weeks that left for this
competition you'll try to prove that i'm right.
Anyway, there are some things i want to tell you...please guys,if you write some fiction, send it to AD Cyric ,CC COM Khadgar and WC Azazel and
of course myself. You would help me a lot, considerring that the last fictions that you sent me ,i had to email them myself to AD Cyric and as i said
my network is working very bad these days. And another thing, especially for thew newer pilots in the squad...when you submitt a pilot file to
me,make sure you tell me what number of battle it is,because i can't remember them all only by their title. And also make sure you name your pilot
properly.I think i already explained you this before:)
I also have something else to say to you even if i risk sounding too pretending.Anyway,in order to be able to follow the leading squadrons every
one of us should fly at least 5 battles a week if not much more. I know you all have also other things to take care of but please try to give your best
shot for this squadron. there are only 2 weeks left!

BATTLES TO FLY NEXT WEEK

You already got your orders for the competitions for the moment. I'll review the orders on monday as usual:)

FINNAL THOUGHTS
There is not much i can think of right now, maybe just make you recall a quote of this squadron...it's quite actual..
"We do not kill the ones we hate,we only fight against those who try to hurt the ones we love"
I think i have wasted enough of your time with this report,so before i get really borring i'll just send you all a big sweet kiss:))
And the most important order FLY,FLY,FLY!!!:)
Enjoy this competition,it's supposed to be fun:))

LAST MINUTE NEWS
I have received some more pilot files just the minute i was about to send this report,so i don't think i'll be able to include them. I have some major
problems with my network and i have to leave a bit earlier today because i'll be going to the country for this weekend to get my daughter
back...lol...she starts school on monday.
Please excuse me for these inconveniences.
